does this look a little burnt? -starved of oil? I noticed my oil press was low so I stopped driving the car during the summer till I had money to replace alot of stuff. got the motor on a stand and found this. is it bad? like damaged? could this amount of heat warp the head and or block? and if so then during the rebuild I would need it resurfaced correct?

the internals look ok.

I was using mobil one fully synthetic 10w30

car overheated twice due to air bubbles in the rad. I never let it get too hot though, pulled over and let it sit each time.

anybody want to take thier valve cover off to take a pic of it for me??? plzzz???

Yeah my valve cover and head internals were real clean to. The valve cover look brand new on the inside pretty much. Try using some Brakleen to clean some of that up and see if it's carbon build up or scoring.

thanks for posting that pic.

I think my motor just sat way to long and the fluids jelled. fyi they shipped me my motor with the engine and transmission still full of fluids.
