Which Schraeder valve are you looking for? AC? On the '90, the low-side is just off the receiver-driver near the front, and the high-side is in the back of the bay, near the ABS actuator. I know you're not asking about the tire valves!

Sorry - Shoulda been clearer. The one that would be used when doing an intake system cleaning. My mechanic is doing a rail flush and intake cleaning, and asked me to find out where the valve is located on the Q.

Not sure about your model year, but I'm certain there aren't any fuel Schraeders in the fuel system. When I did a pressure check I had to tee off just past the fuel filter. It's a *bit* more work for him, but not a big deal. He'll need a T-fitting and an adapter.

Gotcha. I'll rig something right above the fuel filter. Thanks DAE.

The fuel rail flush should be done by looping the fuel line back to the trunk and blocking off the return. This keeps the trash that is loosened up from going back to the tank only to return and block up the filter. Not sure on the induction cleaning. Don't forget the agressive post cleaning drives to prevent the crud you loosen from baking on to the piston heads and valves... that's the fun part anyway!

Heath: Can you explain the process in a little bit more detail so that I can explain it to the shop w/o ambiguity.

The two fuel lines that go into the rail (one from the fuel filter and the other one is the return hose). So the pressurized solvent is fed directly into the rail (where the hose form the filter was connected). Now what happens to:

1. The return line from the fuel rail - is it left connected as is or is it looped back to the pressurized container.2. What do we to the return line hose that was originally connected to the fuel rail?3. What is this post aggressive drive - just driving hard?

Thanks for the info - you can tell, I have never seen this done to a card before....

I'm hoping it rains right after so I can throw down some good 7K rpm burnouts...

The BG Kit comes with a hollow metal loop [clamps] to connect the two rubber hoses together, then the pressured canister is connected to the rail input and a hoses that is plugged [at one end] connects to the rail output to stop the return flow.Understand that the fuel pump is just circulating the BG44k enriched gas up to the loop and back to the tank while the engine is idling off of the 11 ounces in the pressurized tank.

There are some machines out there that circulate fuel/additives from a small tank [has its own fuel pump].http://www.asashop.org/autoinc...h.htmh ... -2.pdfWhen the process is done the pressure is reduced to 5-6 psi and the hose with the plug [rail output] is removed with a shop rag to let the crud that is freed but too large to be forced into the injector filters to escape from the rail into the rag. So as not to resend it back to the tank via the return line!Chamnge the fuel filter after the process since the 44k and 5 gallons of fuel should clean the hard lines and get all lose material in to the filter.

Return all lines to oem config and crank. Then drive the car for 15 minutes flooring it and running it up to redline multiple times to get the crud from the valve stems off and into the combustion process.

Well, my mech and I just finished the intake cleaning (very interesting to watch) and the rail flush... The intake cleaning made the most enormous cloud of smoke I've ever seen. The neighbors all came out and it was quite the scene.

Also cleaned the intake from the filter to the plenum, the MAF screen and a new air filter and fuel filter. Put in the 44K and ran her good and hard up I-17 for a half-hour. Got up to around 115 a few times and did several full-throttle launches (0 to 100).

Definite seat-of-the-pants improvement. Instead of the rears turning over just once at launch, feels like I'm getting 3 or 4 revolutions before they hook up completely.

I wanna go drive some more but mama says it's bedtime.:(

But officer see I just cleaned my Plenum and they told me to blow out all the crud by driving aggressively!

Actually 1st gear [up to 50 mph] works fine the bursts between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm on off on off WOT .....wait 5-10 minutes after the the clean --- don't start WOT cold.

Owners don't realize how driving in traffic clogs things up especially on high mileage units. In Japan the 15,000 mile "tune up" probably consisted of those things we do [should do] at 60k in US.

It always amazes me to look inside the Japanese take out motors how clean the oil they use is vs our heavy sulfur/asphalt base stock.
