Alrite people....help your fellow brother out. I'm doing an argumentative essay for my class and the topic that I've picked is Domestic vs Import:Which performance better on mountain racing.

I've broken it down to several specific topic. Super Class: Ford GT40 vs Ferrari EnzoSport class: Corvette Z06 vs any Silvia(S13, S14, S15)Sport Compact: Ford Focus vs WRX STiEconomy class: Cavalier vs Cvic

They are alll in stock form with no modification watsoever. SO plz tell me your opinion on all or any of the class because I need them!!! ^_^. Correct me if I named any wrong car or want to specific some cars. Power really has nothin to do with this because it's mountain racing; braking, weight, balance, etc. are the main things. If you can't help me on certain car like Enzo and GT40(we're not da rich or have such great job as their test driver) tell me where to find it. I'm going to try Motor Trend. Thanks:help

I was going to use Z06 vs Lotus but that's another car that most of us have never driven before to know how it feels like. THat was why i used Silvia

How did you come up with these classes? I would think that the Focus vs. the STi match-up is a bit lop-sided. 30k sup'ed up Sport Compact car vs. a 15k economy class car. I assume you are referring to the Focus SVT. You might try to pit the Focus against the Volkswagen GTi or the 2.5RS Impreza. Or drop the Focus and pit the STi against an American Competitor.

Sorry about that...brain farted again. I can do that but I'm trying to put some cars up that most people have driven before or the chance of drivin it. Which will get better result in your opinion? Focus SVT vs WRX STi....or WRX STi vs ???

What about the SPort class? Mustang Cobra vs Silvia(any)...or stick with Z06? Remember this is mountain race with numerous courning so can't really get out of 3rd gear...Probably can't even get out of 2nd.

or pit the STi against a real Focuslike one from Britain(Coswoth maybe).

and the McClaren F1 agaisnt the Enzo instead of the GT because it's more targeted at the 360.

Focus SVT will get killed by WRX STiEnzo will own the GT40Z06 will kill most S13,s14,s15 even on twistiescavalier vs civic, waste of time....

I don't know how you would be able to make an argumentative essay with these vehicles.

All the stats are different, car classes are different. For example, you don't put a 300HP rally style WRX vs a 170HP Focus, AWD w/ turbo vs FWD ...hmm yea thats kinda hard to figure out.

If you really want to make an argument, take cars from the same class or racing leagues and match them up.

For instance, Rally spec WRX STi Vs. Rally Spec FocusViper GT car vs Porsche GT car

...ehhhhhhh...Don't chew me another hole...haha. I made that up at the last minute before the assignment was turned in. I totally forgot about it because it was right ater spring break. Help me make up a good list...then i will try my *** off to get my teacher to let me change it. Like I said...I have to use cars that most people have driven before. I can't use a Porsche Gt or Rally car because how many people in here actually drove in one to actually give me a good comparision that has no BS. I do appreciate your opinion but all you did was really just gave me some facts that are useless. I would wager to say that more people have driven the 2.5 RS Impreza than the STi or WRX. I would think the match up between the Focus SVT vs. the Impreza 2.5 RS is closer.

Those are great list but the reason I used common cars for everything else except the Super class is that more people will give more inputs ^_^.

If you're looking for good arguments I suggest comparing cars with similar peformance numbers yet different approaches.
