I'm going to school to become ASE certified. One of the classes is turbocharging. Through the grapevine somehow the instructor has heard of my past and asked me to help teach the class. I'm in his electronics class right now. So talk a bit with him and one of the school's donated cars is a 95 zenki . So as of right now I brought in my spare ka-t mani and they have a tdo5 turbo from a mits that is mint.I'll post pics up when it starts. Which the class is over december 16thish so shoudl ge trunning pretty quickly. I was wanting to forgot the class and just do it myself during my class lol. I started grabbbing tools and got told to go on break lol. This is a Auto zenki btw

We had about 40 transmissions laying on one side of the shop. It was a sick place, but it's getting shut down soon since there isn't enough interest in ASE certifications in the localized area.

As for the Viper, the kids that were there had no idea what they were doing. Maybe 1 out of every 30 kids there knew their stuff about cars, but most were ricers just trying to get through.

Wow Florida thats the exact setup im planing on doing. but i have my s13 zenki so i guess we will se how it works out. what do you have in mind for injectors? I'm thinking about running the stock dsm TSI OR GSX injectors which i belive is 455cc. What do you have in mind for the tuning device? Ya im going auto too for now Let me know how it goes.

That really makes me want to buy a junker 240, body work it, then donate it to the turbo class i would take. That would be fun as hell, IF the instructor knew his ****.

Make sure you get a DIY tuning system, wideband, and an EGT gage. That would be awsome to get a car to practice tuning on. Since KA's are so cheap it wouldnt be a big deal if it blew.

I can just see this now. As soon as the car starts running, and all the kids see it, next day all you will see in the parking lot are 240's :-p

But it definitely sounds like a bad *** project.

When I was in high school or so many years ago, I helped my buddy rebuild his engine in his Camaro IROC.

First engine pretty much I ever laid my hands on and ripped a part. From then on it was pretty much instant love with auto mechanics hehe.

haha, yeah then the ricers emerge that want to put down 500+hp on a ka w/ 200,000 miles puffin blue smoke

a turbo a/t would be a pretty fun ride, especially launching and doing burn-outs when you can spool the turbo on the brake while the car is at rest.

If anyone has a set of 370cc injectors let me know. Going to swap them into the car. Taking my NGK wideband in to see if it's safe. Going to talk to him more and see hwo far he wants to go. I have a safc II I could throw on it too. Will be getting all the parts back.

I have a 16" electric fan for my main cooling fan. It's directly on the radiator. Also have a 10" for the 210+ degree turn on and A/C fan./threadjack

So Florida,Let me know if you are allowed to have visitors. I need to drive my car down before weather gets sheetay'. My house down there is in Citrus. I wouldn't mind stopping by and checking things out.

5psi is max without any kind of tuning, just walboro fuel pump. Anyhting after that you must have fmu safc injectors or whatever.distantcrowd what you doing sunday? I live in the country club by gators dockside. I'll have my ka-t s14 back from the shop. And I can show you my set-up I have for sale. I even got the tools at my house and can swap it for ya. I fail. My finals were yesterday and was in a rush... I brought my camera but no battery I had charging for it lol.Just picture top mount mani, small turbocharger with a couple couplers that route directly into factory intake plumbing. Where the mafs hook up they connected it right there.
