They aren't worth nearly as much as 510s but they are also considered cheap 510's. They have a identical suspension set up and the motors used are the same series of motors. If you need body parts good luck. They are around but you have to dig em up. They aren't in as much demand as 510 pieces so you can supposedly get pieces for cheaper.

So, you can use many 510 related parts (mostly suspension stuff) and parts (when found) will usually be cheap.

If you like the looks it might be worth looking in to especially if you can't afford the kind of prices 510's command these days.

Excuse me. I do not think the 610 is a cheap 510. I have a Datsun 610, and a Datsun 710 , and these are different cars to the 510. I am building up my 610 and will hit the road pretty soon. Dave Davenport and Electromotive ran factory Nissan / Datsun 610 race cars, and these cars are different to any 510. There are 510 people, and there are 610 people, like I am. I am sure you love your 510, I do love my 610, and would never trade it for a 510 If you need further evidence about what a good 610 looks like, let me know, I will post some pixes.

later.....

Hi guys, here are some pixes. In my Car Domain page I have many others, check them out.

The Datsun 610 is a great car, and I am sure it's value will increase a lot, due to the fact that there is less of these Datsuns than, for example, the 510.

How much is it? I think it'd be pretty sweet to have. Plus you don't see many of them compared to dimes and s30s

Hi .

This Datsun 610 is a great car and awesome project. Added feature is that there is very few of them, accordingly even less 610's in performance shape.

If you want one, hunt around. The ones that appear every now and then at E bay go up in price pretty fast. I recommend looking for that mom or pop mint condition 610. There are Datsuns in senior citizens' hands that are in mint shape.

I hope you find one, it is great to see more 610's showing up. If I see any for sale, I will let you know, send me PM with your address, I will keep you posted of any.

Jaime.
