We have some of the most beautiful skies out here in the AZ desert. Thought I would share a few of my favorites.

If you take away the massive peak in the extreme background, it looks just like western MD.

Oo! So golden. I like that one a lot.
I adore taking sunset photos, at some point I'll take some sunrise photos from the nice state park/beaches in my state (one of the few things I like about DE are the beaches).

I'll share one I took in August (unaltered), thunderstorm rolling out:

I need a speed light kit rather badly.

The gold tint typically results from high pollution levels or a dust storm. Both make fantastic pictures.

Love the thunderstorm pics Christine. The only reason rain is tolerable out here is the fantastic cloud formations that come with them.

^ haha yeah, tons of pollution makes for great photos.

I love me some big ol' fat thunderclouds. No 2 are alike (including sunrise/suset)

I dunno why...but that second pic looks like god's ***hole taking a liquid s*** on the Earth. Don't read too much into that.

jesda, those storm pics were awesome. I hope the photographer wins the award from National Geographic. I didn't spend much time in Montana when I was there, basically just drove through the bottom of it on the way to Washington. I'd love to take a road trip up there and get some good pictures.

This is a favorite, even if it is a cell phone pic. There was a freak thunderstorm that blew through campus one day. I snapped this pictures out the passenger side window while driving.

Autocrossing right off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. I literally could have driven that Miata into it, as it was perhaps 100 feet from the edge of the course.
