I am new to racing and have an EP 240z and am looking to upgrade my wheels for somthing lighter. I have the Panasport ul wheels (16+lbs) The rules say I have to run 15x7s so I am limited. Also I dont have an unlimited source of funds (ie good but inexpensive) I am looking for somthing sub 12lb The Volks TE37 look good but way out of price range. Any suggestions? I also noted that the 82-83 280zx turbo wheel were only 14 lbs? I may be in the market for a set for my rains so any input there would also be appricated.

What offset and bolt pattern does the 240z use?

I would suggest Falken hanabi (11lbs), Enkie RPF01 (11 or so lbs) SSR Comps (Stupid light, *lbs IIRC, But also stupid expensive.) Kozie has a light weight wheel, but I forget the model. I have no isea if any of those wheels are availble in the bolt patter / offset you need. Also some rotas are releativly light and cheap. If you are lucky enough to run the same offset and bolt pattern as a miata (4x100, 40mm +/- 5mm) all of those wheels *SHOULD* fit. Plus there are a ton of spec miata wheels out there, their minuim wight requirment is 13lbs iirc. You might also check sccaforums and ask some of the road racers.

Good luck!

Kosei K1 is the model, but good luck finding that in good offset for the 240z.

I don't know how light the 15x7 Rota RB are, but they come in a +4 offset. http://18racing.com/wheel_rb.html

Rota 17 lbs, copy of panos good inexpensive but to much weight. SSR also light with right offset but 450ea (ouch) If anyone knows a source for the SSRs or Volks for a better price I may be interested.
