hey, has any one read the article in the june issue of SCC about purchasing a s13? did you see the shot of the engine bay and them pointing out the common problems with it on page 101? they say and I quate {idling problems (sometimes bad enough to stall the engine) are a common complaint,in most cases caused by the IAA valve(controls air intake to the injection system) and solved by establishing an extra ground wire and covering the original connecting cable with plastic tape} end quate now I have been having problems with my IAA valve forever and I have messed with the idle control and all that and it still idles funny at times. I would like to try what they are talking about in SCC but I am a little confused. what ground wire are they talking about? and should I ground it from the wiring harness to a ground or from the IAA valve to ground? has any one ever done this before and know what SCC is talking about? please let me know thanks

I glanced at it but haven't had a chance to read the entire thing but there's something I noticed immediately that bothered me. The engines that they list parts for are the KA, SR and the RB but there is absolutely no mention of the CA. It may not be the most popular and have the most aftermarket support but it should have been there.

Sounds like that ground wire they are talking about is one you have to add. They really should have elaborated more on that because it is quite vague.

sounds like they read the old 240sx.org FAQs and compacted 3 article's worth of info into a single statement.

you can remove the assembly and clean it with brake cleaner if its fudged up. you can also replace or create new ground cables, clean and check your mafs, perform a basic tune-up...
