Silent Hill 2, that was a shocker. The original was pretty good, but SH2 was just awesome. Haven't got around to playing SH3 yet, I'll have to stop by Blockbuster some time! Other great ones include: any Resident Evil games (duh!), Fatal Frame, and that Eternal Darkness game for GC. But you must always play these games alone, in the dark, and with the volume turned up...

SH3 was good, but I couldn't get into it like I got into SH2. Resident Evil games never did anything for me. I REALLY can't wait for SH4: The Room to come out. I dl'ed the E3 '04 video and man...that is some messed up stuff...

I find myself jumping a lot when I'm playing America's Army. When you're not used to the maps, it's really easy to get surprised. It's not the suspensful <sp?> kind of scary, just the "Where the hell did THAT come from?!", make you jump kind of scary.

fatal frame beats all of those, dont waste your money of non-exclusive games..fatal frame is an exclusive games meant to only sell to a few, with 0-no advertisments, unlike res evil and silent hill.

It was made for both PS2 and Xbox. Basically, you play as Miku, and she is trying to find more info for her brother's sudden disappearance. take's place in a huge mansion. I'm agreeing with the System Shock 2... scared the bejesus out of me. Silent Hill 2 was also pretty creepy. I don't really consider the resident evil games scary, they just made you jump every now and then.
