ok, jesus christ....today, i've seen 2 people pulled over...both while "racing" on the highway...

what's the catch? THEY WERE "RACING" WITH THE COPS!!!!

yessir, i saw a sweet looking camaro and mustang, both modded w/ loud exhausts, lowered, alloy 18" (approximately) rims etc....the camaro was late model and had metalflake paint!!!!

they were playin "tag" on the freeway w/ cars, waited till they were goin fast enough for a wreckless endangerment or the like, and then "woop woop" blue and red lights from all sorts of orifices on these cars...

i'm so so scared...oh so scared

PS, the other day, i was taunted and then BURNED by a early 90's caprice...looked like it had 315's in the rear and definately a large motor underhood, that thing was about as fast as this one cobra mustang i saw on the highway...

Sounds to me like that's entrapment, which is illegal for cops to do. They are not allowed to entice you into a street race, on the other hand if you start with them, then that's all perfectly legal for them to do, and if you do highway runs then you should be busted.

What is considered enticement...I'm sure they don't roll down the window and go "you wanna run". All they have to do is pull up alongside someone and look at them...half the morons in their cars consider that an invitation to punch it.

All a hooked up car has to do is wait and it will catch beef.

That's an awesome job though, race kids on the highway, beat them, then arrest them. HAHA.

CHP has some Camaros now, but they're not full stealth. All white, full marks on the doors, with a small clear light bar on the top. Way harder to pick out at a distance than the Crown Vics.

The CHP car that threw me off the most was a turbo Volvo. They wanted to go with Volvos because of thier superior safety, but there was to much pressure to buy American, so they were abandoned.

CHP also bought Porsche 911 Turbo's a number of years ago and outfitted them for police work. They were being outrun and decided that they needed the speed and also safety at speed. Eventually, the "non-US" outcry forced them to sell these and start using planes to keep track of people trying to outrun them on the major highways.

highway runs are fun, thats the only type of speed racing i like..

but i dont mess with domestics unless i know the person driving

Cops should hire people like us to entice people into highway races.. just before carefuly setup speed traps.

I don't really think it's entrapment though, that'd be pretty lame, it's not like he told the guys driving to speed or he's gonna start peelin' caps...
