Are you serious? I mean, I believe it, I'm just wondering. Thank you, ALOT, for not letting them use your car. It is probably the best looking hatch out there, in my opinion. There is no reason that it should be used in what will most likely be a craptacular movie. How would they pulled off using your car anyway? Isn't the movie set in Japan(RHD and sr20)? Either way, hopefully they don't just make a copy of your car and then everyone and their hampster will be selling "180sx silvia JDM drift fast and the furious 3 body kits."

THE ONLY advantage that this might possibly have is that if everyone, and I mean close to a million or so people really got onto a drifting kick, Nissan might do us right, and bring in the good stuff.

I doubt it though, like I said, car prices will probably double or triple, and engines are probably going to become pretty scarce pretty quick.

most of the fan base by now is either going to be of the age group that wont be driving soon enough to buy a car anytime soon, too poor to afford a "good" 240 anyways, or too dumb to realize the aspects that separate 240s from other imports that they could buy cheaper.

at least thats what i tell myself to keep from getting wrapped up in this crap.

For starters there wont be any jumping into this one, The guy who made the first one (which honestly wasnt that bad) is making this one. While it does take place in Japan, I dont think they are actually filming there as they had the car casting call stateside. I think if anything they will have a lot of Hachi's, RX's and Supras in this one. If you all remember the crew in the first one had a Jetta, an R33, the RX, and a Maxima. While it would be nice to see some 240s in a movie, I really don't want the thefts and vandalism that come with that role. As far as inflatinig the prices for 240s...I dont know, there are too many of them on the market and once the movie comes out there will be even more because all the ricers will be wanting them and us anti-ricers will be geting rid of them. the interesting thing will be to see how it effects the drifitng community here states, granted it probably wont be as devastating as if the Initial D movie is released stateside.
