Scanning OBDII help!

Hey Guys

I just scanned my truck for my SES light and this is what it said.

ho2s heater control circuit low bank 1 sensor 1.

From what i have read it sounds like its the o2 sensor before the cat. And either the wiring is broken or the sensor needs to be replaced. Any one else had this? Any info would be great.

I also have been getting poor gas milage this last tank or 2. Could a bad 02 sensor cause this?

that code and the symptom of poor fuel economy perfectly describes a bad O2S. the upstream O2S is used to help control the air/fuel ratio.

Thanks, that makes sence too. Where is this 02 sensor located? Is there more then one that I should think about replacing? Are aftermarket o2 sensors ok or only buy oem Nissan? Thanks again!
