Does anyone know what is the correct process to connect to the ECU in ScanMaster software, using ELM327 sensor?
The reason I am asking is because when I initially hit the Connect button with the engine running or not running with ignition turned on, it fails to connect. Then I shut off the ignition, hit Connect again, it fails with the timeout error this time, then I turn on the ignition or start the engine and in 90% cases when I hit Connect, it connects and reads everything fine.
Until I discovered this process, I would keep trying to hit Connect and it would fail 20-50 times, but connect eventually. Now it does not seem to connect anymore no matter how many times I try
In my other vehicle I do not have to go through anything like that: with the engine running I hit Connect and that is it, it's connected right away.
Is there a special procedure for Nissan ECU?
