Under The steering wheel column (closer to the pedals). I think it's kinda tucked away, but there's no cover on it.

Get a flashlight, tuck your head under the steering wheel and look up. You'll see it.

The Scangauge OBD2 hookup is the easy part..just plug in under the dash and set it up for your engine size, pick your displays, screen background color and you are on to the next issue...where to put the unit so it can be out of the way, safe from snoopers and handy to use.Of all the many solutions I chose the easiest...in the CD cubby over the radio. Ran the wire down to the connection though a hole I drilled in the back of the box.[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

I stuck it in front of the speedometer with the velcro to the top so I don't have to turn my head.

I've gotten used to using the SG as my speedometer now. :|

Jump over to http://www.cleanmpg.com. Go to the forum and under For Sale/Wanted .... join one of their group buys. I think they have it for 150 shipped.

I can take a piece of this one, as I have had a SC intalled in my Versa now for over a year.

I put it in primarily to find out for myself how driving conditions, different brands and my own home brew gas additives effect MPG's.Today was a good example..we were coming back home in a strong tail wind that was blowing 28 to 52 KPH...

I have a stretch of road that I use for mpg testing and at the 'mark' point with the tail wind, I was getting 42 mpg (U.S.) at 60 mph on the SG.

I went down the road a mile, turned around and resumed the cruise back to 60 mph, for the run back to the 'mark-point' and the SG registered 26 mpgs, into the wind.

That's a 16 mpg difference.

Without the SG delivering the instant mpg readout, anything that you do to improve mpg performance takes forever to get any concrete results.

Filling and re-filling the gas tank to the exact same spot is almost impossible and gives you only confusing 'hit and miss' results.

The SG immediatly tells you if the gas you just bought, is good, or bad for the car. I have noticed a huge difference in performance with different brands of regular gas.

(My Versa runs better, and further on Chevron)

URq where did you see that price. I can see it for 159.99 shipped. I am interested in buying but the price it too much. Moreover the scangauge website says that the new scangauge comes with add-a-gauge and xgauge. Can anybody please confirm this or do I need a different scangauge. Thanks,Masa

On the home page to the left side you will see the order scangauge II for 159.00 and below that you will see it says "Even better value for members only is available in the latest SG-II w/ X-Gauge Group Buy purchase thread."But you might have to be a member of the forum to see it.It is free to be a member and there is some good info on saving gas and money.
