Hi all,

I have a very short attention span, therefore, I like to use the 'scan' button on my car radio. I can sometimes listen to 'scan' for a two-hour trip. Strange, I know.

Nevertheless, I have the 2011 Rogue SL w/the premium sound system, and, for the life of me, I cannot find the SCAN button.

Is there one? Can anyone help me find it? I've been in the manual etc, but thought I'd join this site and ask the experts.

Thanks for your time!

did you try pressing and holding the seek button? Cadillacs have their 'scan' button like that.

HI there, welcome to the Rogue forum, we're here to help you with your issue!

I will test this out today on my way home and get back to you, in the meantime there may be another owner who has the answer. But for the most part the "scan" function isn't one that is used much, actually I've only ever seen this with CD's, not radio stations, it may be that the Rogue stereo does not have this feature. I will check it out today.

On the steering wheel you should have an up and down switch that goes through preset stations, try holding it for a few seconds. Works on mine :)

That will engage the "seek" function, but it doesn't continuously scan through stations, pausing for say 30 seconds per station them moving on as I believe Huskerduer was trying to accomplish.

My 08 non Bose system has a scan button that will scan through all radio stations, stopping for 5 seconds on each one then moving on to the next.

Thank you all for the replies! I've tried holding all the methods you've described and nothing comes of it.
I just cannot believe that my sound system does not have a 'scan' function. I know it's an obsolete function but come on! Thanks for your support and I'll check w/my mechanic at my next oil change, or check w/a dealer, ugh.

This past weekend, I went to the NAIAS in Detroit. I went to the Nissan section just to see if the Rogue had changed much for 2012, which it hadn't, but I went up to one of the girls working the info desk to ask about my 'scan' button. Now, I know these people are usually models/actors hired for the show but I thought I'd give it a try.
I asked her my question and she got to work on the computer in front of her.
She went to a user forum and said, "Here' a question like yours. The forum readers say to press and hold the seek button, that's how a Cadillac works". I said, "Does the question start off by saying 'I have a short attention span'?"
To which she replied, "Yes!"
I said, "That's my question on that forum" LOL!

If you read our responses above, the Rogue does have a scan button, my 2008 has it, it's located directly to the right of the large volume knob.

However the scan function only pauses on each station for about 5 seconds before moving on to the next station.
