I'm in the process of selling my cobra, so I have it listed on a few sites including Craigslist.I normally list on Weds and Sat. I keep getting these awesome offers like the one below.

Do you guys reply to these idiots???? Or just delete??

Hello Seller,

In response to your vehicle posted for sale. I am an agent interested in making an immediate purchase of it. After several consideration over the advert placed on the website, my client who has really shown interest in it and would want to issue the payment. But before I proceed on this transaction I will like to ask some question as follows. 1. Is the condition of the vehicle what you have describe it to be ?

2. What is the final asking prize you can go at last ? 3. Do you accept a certified cheque as a mode of payment ?

4,Can the picture send to me via email for proper view?

Also I would like to restate clearly that this item will be shipped to Australia and I have a shipping agent who would take good care of this. You are to cash the Check you will recieve and deduct the funds for the sales of your item and please have the excess funds sent to the shipping agent in order to schedule the pick up of the item. All neccesary transfer papers will be dully signed by the shipper on behalf of my client when the shipping agents comes for the pick up of the item .I will be willing to entertain more of your questions that might arise, please provide your

FULL NAME: MAILING ADDRESS : PHONE NUMBER :

So that I can have it forwarded to my client for immediate payment issuance.Looking forward to hear from you.

Regards.

Here is my reply to this one....I just felt like waisting my own time by sending back some babbling BS hoping that I waste their time.

After reading your reply, it has come to the attention of management that your post is the product of ill intentions of which we do not comply with. I will forego the details of how we came to such an elusive conclusion which did entail the use of several consulting companies and many late nights in the board room. However, while discussing this propostion at length, we did reslove the more underlying, disturbing issue that is at the crux of this issue. The effect is obvious, but the cause is always the the part of the equation that makes the journeys end worth the journey. We are happy to report to you that the sender of said proposal was taken from the tit prematurely. Regards,

Edit - on a side note, my sister's friend got her first eBay phishing e-mail today... she actually tried to click the respond to seller button and reply to them.

Yeah, I fell for that years ago and they got my Mastercard.

I got a box of male enhancement drugs on my doorstep!!!

My wife just saw that it was from a drug company and called them up.She told them that we had not ordered it.They explained to her that her husband may have ordered it to make himself bigger. Her response was 'He lifts weights, he doesn't need this'.Their response 'Mam, you don't understand.....'Lightbulb goes off in wifie's head and realizes what it is for. Anyway, we didn't pay for anything. Always pay with CC.

A loyal wife would then have said that the preceding answer still applies.

Yup, hit the good ole Delete key.

I tried selling a vehicle there and I explicitly laid out the terms for the seller. He ended up sending me a check for like $3000 extra so that I could ship it to England. The check was from Klipsch (speaker company) in Indiana. I told him no deal. He called me complaining, I yelled back. He threatened to sue me, I just said bring it. I had the check laying around in the G and apparently it flew out the window because I got an email from someone saying they had my $6,000 something or other check. I had to tell her that it was fake and she could do whatever she wanted with it because the account didn't even exist. I felt bad for ruining her good Samaritan moment.

Rich I like your reply. That is awesome.

I never bother to reply. Too lazy to tell them where to go.
