scammer alert! Maryland area

I have an RB25det, and it wasn't running right (due to overboosting, i fixed it). I thought it was the ECU because I have an S1 engine w/ S2 ECU. So i searched on craigslist and found this guy selling an ECU for 100 bucks. He claimed that it's an RB25det ECU S1 manual. I bought it, and when i got home i plugged it into my car and it barely can idle, so i didn't even bother try to run it. I went online and searched the part number, and surely, it came out to be a VG20E. I opened up the ECU and found a daughterboard inside with a chip. SO i contacted the guy, and he wanted to be verified that it's actually not an RB25det ECU. Now, he's giving me problem about refunding the money. I know that all sales are final, I just don't want someone else end up buying stuff from this guy and get scammed.

Paid him paypal as gift.

So i don't think paypal will help.

yea its best to take the 3% paypal fee as extra insurance
