A few months ago my 240SX got totalled by someone that rammed me hard enough to destroy the car...so in my quest to replace my 240sx, I found one on ebay that would make a sutible replacement.

The car is about 1500 miles away so I went on a web search to find a transport company to transport the car to my home.

On Dec 13th I sent the trasport company the deposit (125.00) to get the car here and filled out their paperwork and faxed it to them. The 125 was a postal money order.

The transport company can be found here:

http://www.budgetautotransport.com

Anyway, after dozens of phone calls to them, dozens of emails...nothing. Nothing at all as in no communication. The guy that I bought the car from is being cool but wants me to get it ASAP.

I got scammed for 125 dollars and I dont want anyone here to fall victim to these scam artists.

I have cold feet sending money to any of the other transport companies due to this.

I wish a bunch of you folks would fire off a letter to budget auto transport to protest...maybe I can get my money back. They have not returned any of my mail, my certifyed letters or my phone calls.

Anyone know of a REPUTABLE auto transport company?

Thanks in advance,Bill

That sucks, but you should be able to get your money back as long as you have the money order stub. Don't even worry about it. Whoever scammed you is now in hot water, because it's a federal offense if you rip someone off through the US postal service. Go to your local post office and ask them how to file a fraud complaint. The feds will catch this guy for you.

That and file a complaint with the FTC. https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.star ... lang_seq=1

Where is the car located? Maybe I can ask my Uncle the name of a good transport company if its in his region.

Thank you Cold_Zero and stillmatic.

The car is in the Boston area now.

I looked at http://www.ableautotransport.com and talked to them. It will cost more but they seem cool....but once burned twice shy.
