My buddy has a sc61 (dont know what the last two numbers of it were) he made 318whp on 10psi with nothing but, a safc II for tuning and pulled two degree out at the dizzy. He has a peakboost manifold also.

Good turbo with a fairly quick spool.

Quick spool? I would think it would just as laggy as a non-bb gt35... any idea on when it hit full boost?

I know they're laggy on Hondas, but I would think that a 2.5 would spool it prettty well.

2.4L my friend...

The SC5163 is the same as a standard T3/T04E with 0.63 hot and 50 trim comp wheel. I'm guessing the SC5176 has a 0.82 exhaust with a stg 5 turbine wheel...

It's a nice 500whp+ turbo, but way too laggy for anything under..

That's a matte of opinion. I have an SC61 and I hit full spool at 4000K rpms. This turbo is rediculos on a KA. The perfect match. I have a .63 a/r turbine housing and I'm upgrading to a .82 to get a bigger gain. Hoping for close to 600whp on this turbo. aAlready hit over 530 wheel on the .63

Yea, mine is the .63. I think that it'll be fine on a 2.4. Hell, the guy I bought it from had it on a built LS/VTEC and made near 600 wheel with it @ 32psi. There are tons of guys runing 35r's on 1.8L Hondas. Come on people, don't be sissies, get a big boy turbo.

BTW: a close friend of mine runs a 42r on his 1.9L GSR and makes 700whp. I want to be right at the 500 mark, you can't do that with a T2, sorry.

^LOL

I think the sc61 is a great turbo for a KA-T street car. Don't plan on taking it auto crossing but for the average guy it's a nice turbo. I don't know why people are always trying to run a T25 and boost it up to try to make 350+hp.
