I think they are ok...not that great.....I drive one occasionally on the weekends and it doesn't seem like anything special to me.

I don't think they are that great in general. I think they know how to make a nice interior, with top quality component choices.

I have never driven one, but I would imagine it's like all other lexii: Boring to the point of excellence

And this has what to do with Infiniti or even Nissan? Maybe this would be better dicussed in another place.

My 10-year-old Q45 has a leather console AND dash.

Uhm

The console is not leather, either is the dash. There is no Stiching. Not leather

If the door panels (which are stichted) arn't leather, I don't think the material that composes the dash/console, are either.

The SC430 Entire console is composed of the same leather surfaces as the seats.

Well, mine is leather, because I have had it apart. It is leather stretched and glued to the plastic, or metal.

Please do not argue with me. I have not the time, or effort.

Love the SC400 interior.

Honestly, the interior is of a better fit and finish than the crap Infiniti is putting into its current models. We recently finished car shopping after the lease ran out on our VW/ We cross shopped a bunch of Infiniti, Lexus and Acura models along with BMW. Infiniti placed at the very bottom of our fit, finish and quality list for interiors. Lexus and Acura where on top. We ended up purchaising a fully loaded Acura 1.7 EL Premium. Will post pics soon.

Totally agreed.

The SC430 has a top notch interior, and better then anything Infiniti currently offers.

The Q/M hard plastic dash is total basura. I looked at a used M with 15k miles, less then a year old.. The dash had nasty ripples from the plastic

bleh

Hopefully the new m45 will end the cost cutting

To those who dont venture out of INFINITI GENERAL (or rather into GENERAL CHAT) that would be called POSTWHORING! :)

However, I agree that the new infiniti interiors arent right.. I dont like the "center pods".. The G35 is OK, but it feels kinda cheap, but Id say pretty good for its class...

I think the M45 (new) doesnt have the best looking interior, although better than the new one....

One of the most handsome interiors Ive seen is the new STS.... I prefer the clean, stacked design with well spaced and placed buttons.....You dont want to have to scroll through menus while driving, but you dont also want a lot of buttons....

That, and the STS has ALL top notch interior stuff and everything is real nice in there.. I think its a world class car they made there....

Dude, you're nutty

The current M45=cost cutting on parade

The new M is 1000x beyond any current infiniti.

I think the upper door trim (color keyed to the seats) on the 90-93 Q is leather. The lower door trim, center console, dash, etc. are a textured foam backed vinyl glued to the substrate. Trust me, I have damaged (and replaced) the center console tray - it isn't leather. Dash is the same stuff.

I concur.

Even thought it is not all leather it is a very nice interior.

I love when people say what years is this and when I say 90 you just see the jaw lines.

According to hitman the door panels arn't leather either. Which shocked me. If it isn't leather, it's a very very nice material

The only thing that is leather on the q45 is the part of the seats you sit on.......the rest is all an imitation leather. I have talked with some very experienced people in the recovering business about it.

Heck, on an old car who cares. Im getting both my front seats redone in vinyl. Thats $500 saved toward dropping the oil pan or doing suspension work.

Of all the cars at our house, I'd say the Acura MDX has the crappiest interior. Switches dont all have the same feel, the dash is made out of a hard plastic that scratches easily, plastic cutouts are not clean, and the glovebox is crooked. Current miles: 6k. The last MDX we had was an 02 with the exact same issues, plus terrible wind noise.

Our family's Lexus LX470, however, despite its ugly-*** body style (I really hate it), has a stunning interior. And it rides like a creampuff.

Yep. Lexus isn't hype. They make no quams about being boring, but they are perfect at it.
