Is there a supercharger (good one) on the market that will not require a modifcation or replacement of the factory hood? I prefer the 'sleeper' so I would prefer not to make a change to the car that looks like something has been done to the motor from the outside.

lots of options. Vortec and procharger have units that will fit under the hood. Turbo is also an option...

Here are a few websites to get you started:

Frank -

I am leaning HEAVILY towards the Stillen unit.

For an extra couple hundred dollars, they will warranty the engine for like 36K miles...

After touring the facility and seeing how they're fabricated, and seeing all the R&D that went into them, I'm sold.

I'll take a little bump on the hood for that kind of peace of mind.

Yep, they have that for sure over their competition and that is a definite draw. Can you describe the hood they provide? Is it similar to the 03-04 hood (2 lines) with extra height? or like the 05-06 hood (one line)? or not like either one of them?

Here ya go:

I'll admit, it's not how I would have designed it (I'd prefer an old-school cowl-induction style), but it's pretty subtle to anyone who doesn't know G35's.

Greg - They'll warranty the entire engine? Hmmm...that sounds quite nice. The hood setup isn't bad either. *ponders*

Ooohh, I love the Stillen unit... but I also love Procharger.... too bad you guys can't drive buy Procharger's R&D building whenever u want ... they have lots of projects that they like to 'test'

Plus their 350Z unit is really nice! But as Greg said, that piece of mind as well as it's design is worth a lot...
