Yes, have been reading about the positive benefits here on NICO for years now and thought it was time for me to get a set! Was thinking about Stillen, but after seeing and hearing the feedback from Nate's set, it only made sense to me to try his.

Background on Me.I'm pretty conservative about what mods I add to my cars since they are DDs. I would be much more aggressive if I had a fun car again! Before getting a Grounding Kit, I consulted both of mechanic friends. One is a recently retired master car and truck mechanic. Actually, he was a supervisor for the city heavy truck shop. He now teaches at a local community college for fun. I work on my car at his house/garage if I think I can get myself into troubles!!! (AC, CV Joints, ..etc) Plus he has A BUNCH more tools!!!The other is my neighbor who is a Porsche/BMW mechanic.

SBD Grounding Wire Kit Review Two words: Idiot Proof!! Color installation guide is awesome! Can not go wrong if you follow the instructions. Each wire is clearly labeled with both grounding locations. Replacement bolts and ties are included. You do not need anything!!!If you have trouble installing this kit, then you have bigger issues!!

Initial Impressions Shifts faster. Prior to installation, I purposely did a few WOT manual shifts saturday and noticed a longer lag. The delay one time even cause the engine to bog down at the redline. Experienced quicker shifts today.

Car also seems to idle smoother. Can not tell it's running at a light. Maybe I need a cat-back system now!!! In addition, yesterday after I changed my coolant, I was following the proceedings in revving the engine for 10 seconds followed by idle three times. Each time it came back to idle it was a bit rough. Today, it wasn't. Just point out a difference.

Question for others with a Wire Kit. Does your car warm up faster?? Mine seems to.

Increase in MPG. I've read / hear of others getting an increase of a couple MPG, hoping to see this, but will take a couple weeks to see.

Increase in HP. Have read where this can be gained, but did not do a dyno before and after.

Bottom line so far!

Pics? Yes, just a couple. Not nearly as good as what Nate provides in the kit!

Here is what you get:

Done!!

I zipped the transmission wire here. Keeps the slack on top, away from the exhaust.

Freaking messy mechanic!!

Oh and still getting green beans, but the cucs are dead and the maters are headed that way too!

1st week of driving with SBD Grounding Wires:21.2 MPG.

Compared to 18.5 to 19.8 MPG before.

I did my normal commute this week and normal around town driving. Probably more city than HW.

Will continue to monitor, but so far

I once got the same with cow magnets. I average 21.9 in mixed driving, as much as 26 on the freeway.

one thing about american vehicles, many have very low overdrive ratios. Your G has a .79 overdrive gear, whereas the 7 speed G has a .76, and a lower final. That affects acceleration and economy. Many american vehicles have .72 and .69 and such, but you'll notice, as I have on many of mine, that a touch of throttle when going uphill to maintain speed will cause a downshift. On the highway, My G is always in 5th gear, even when I pass. That never happened in any of my american vehicles.

Even I'm impressed. I want improved fuel economy!!! I think having a 6mt makes a difference there lol.

Rich, how are you calculating the MPG?

Same as everybody else. Reset your miles when you fill up. Take the miles when you fill up and divide by number of gallons it takes to fill up. Been doing it this way forever.

Oh, and I always fill up each weekend...at the same pump at the same BP station. I also fill up with the nozzle pointed straight down. When it's done, I move it about 7 degrees counter clockwise and pump it, then back to up right pump it, then clockwise 7 degrees and pump it. (three times after the first cut off. Just to make sure I get a full tank......and I always do.

When I searched Nico I saw where a few other folks mentioned gaining 2 mpg.

yeah i get a consistant 20-22 mpg mixed driving... i use shell v power about 90% of the time and same pump at the same station...

when i first got the car it was like 18-20 mpg mixed driving... so i got about a 2mpg increase since installing his kit...
