hi all i need help on what to do on how to install a small block 350 in my 90 240. i recently purchased the car pulled the motor and trans out and the engine harness. i plan on do a carborated 350, but im real confused on how to wire the car up as far as instruments like lights and stuff like that. also i cant figure out where to get a trans and motor mounts for the swap. if you know anything or anyone who can help me with this swap it would be greatly appreciated thankd for looking and thanks for your help

Instruments wiring probably won't need to be touched. You probably just need to hook up the alternator so they get the proper power.

I know that McKinney Motorsports makes motor and transmission mounts for the swap.

You may need a custom driveshaft though.
You can talk to a driveshaft place like Driveshaft Shop, and send them measurements and what transmission + differential you'll be using and they can make you a custom set.

Btw, we have a Hybrid section (Not the Prius kind :) ) for unique engine swaps.

well i was planning to go with a 5spd transmission like a 5.7 camaro trans

I think what you were trying to say was that you were worrying about getting the dash stuff like the cluster to work, right. Most people ho do these swaps don't care, tho.

Yeah but I got power windows and other little stuff like that I'd like to keep another question is will the 240 rear end work for this swap or will I need to get a whole different setup

All of the power windows, locks, etc. run or at least should run on a completely different loom than the engine. I don't see the stock 240 diff lasting very long with that much torque, but I could be wrong.
