Hi All:
So it's time to move on from my 2011 M56x. I was on the forum extensively in 2011 when I bought the car and got some great advice then so thought I would share my experience with the car. It's Liquid Platinum with a Stone interior and all available options including the aero package. My only add was a 3M clear front bra. Had to bring it here to Canada from Tennessee as there was zero selection up here. Bought it sight unseen with no test drive. BTW I am not interested in selling it on this forum as I will be doing a courtesy trade at my new car dealer, a tax thing here.
So, as to my thoughts on the car itself. Firstly, I have never had a single maintenance issue with it. It literally has run like the proverbial clock. Replaced front brakes/rotors at 28,000 miles, replaced battery at 31,000 miles (six weeks ago, was surprised it went that soon) and other than that regular Infiniti service and oil/lube/filter of the highest quality and probably more frequently than needed. As it sits it is absolutely immaculate as the day I got it with 32,000 miles on it as of this writing. I ran dedicated summers and winters (tires) on 18"ers and let me say this: it won't get stuck in the snow unless you really dummy up. On the summer rubber it is obviously a great touring car and very fast. The chrome has held up well. The leather looks as new. The interior finishes are up to par with 2015 luxury vehicles (side note - I almost swapped it out for a 2015 Audi S5 Cab thinking I could get the best of all worlds...however the interior of the Audi was at best a 7/10 whereas the M is at least a 9/10 - frankly I have never found something to dislike about the interior of the M). I guess what I am saying is that the M has held up very well, inside and out including the paint, mechanicals and it was very advanced on the myriad nanny safety options now available. What else can I tell you? I've had some awesome cars - Mercedes, Audi, Volvo etc. The M56x has been an outstanding car and I have enjoyed it very much, beautiful inside and out with a nasty V8 that belies its sophisticated looks. And it's not lost on me that a V8 with this HP and torque is pretty hard to come by these days.
So thanks for the folks who helped me find this great car back in 2011 it is a fantastic machine, has served me well. I shall miss it!
