Last night I recieved a disturbing phone call from one of my best friends. He informed me that a very good friend of mine got in a severe reck, and he may end up paralyzed. He was hit by a 72,000 lb concrete truck in his 2001 Roush Mustang Gt. He is in the i.c.u. right now where I visited him tonight. He is doing alot better now but his future is still unclear. I am not a religious man by anymeans, but for all of you who are, please put a prayer in tonight for my friend. Thankyou all.

Rubin, I'm sorry to hear about this. Your friend and his family are in my prayers. That's terrible news to receive. Please keep us updated on his recovery.

ninja, I know I should cheer up but I have grown up with this guy since we were in 1st grade!!!!!!!! Its really hard to see someone in a hospital bed like that!

Hey man, at least you're best friend is still alive. Me and my best friend were in a wreck in march, which took his life. its very hard. you're friend is very much in my prayers, because i don't want the same thing to have to happen to you.

God bless and will do. Tell him we're all pulling for him! The guys that drive those damned trucks go too fast all the time. I hope he sues the sh.it out of that company and buys a new whatever-the-hell-he-wants.

His name is Charlie, and I don't know if he can sue the truck company, it wasn't their fault. Some idiot in an eclipse pulled out "half way only" into Charlie's lane, he swerved away from that and then he was head on to a nother car. He swerved away from her but cliped her front end. It spun his car around into another lane where the truck was comming. The truck smashed into his car right from behind. The whole car from the back was smashed all the way up to the back part of the driver seat. I am going to go see him in a hour or two. Thankyou all for you comments.

He is conscious, but he is really groggy "sp?" due to all the morphine he is on. When I saw him last night he recognized who I was and raised his hand and arm up to me. Well just have to see how he is doing today. I only saw him last night for a minute cause he had to go down to get a cat scan. Keep your fingers crossed.

they're crossed man. thats awesome that he rocognized you. that is a great feeling i'm sure. do they know anymore about his injuries and if he'll be able to walk again?

Great news tonight!!! I went to go see him tonight and he was able to get out of his bed and into a chair for a couple of minutes. He was feeling a lil better and talked to me a lil bit more too. Tomorrow I have to go to Western KY UNIV. with his dad to get his jeep and move his stuff. He is recovering very good.

Ben you were right when you said it was a good feeling to know he recognized me, I almost teared up a bit.

Oh yeah, I think they are hoping for a close to "full" recovery, but he does say his legs go numb somtimes. I think its from laying in that bed all day long.

My email is [email protected], and unfort. my 240 will not be down there, lol. I am not sure whats gonna happen, it is gonna be a really moody drive down there. Charlie's girlfriend has to leave his side and finish her finals down there, and she is very emotional right now, "which she very well deserves to be". If I get a chance at all to call I will, but I will just have to play it by ear Ben. Thanks though,

Well, first off I would like to say sorry ben for not being able to call you, we were in a mass rush the whole time we were at Western tonight, charlie had a lot of crap, lol.

On the way home with Charlies dad, we called up and Charlie is gonna be able to return home within the next couple of days. They said he was walking around the hallways today which is really remarkable, since he had surgery only two days ago, leaving a scar all the way down his spine. Thanks to all again for the kind remarks.

wow, that is an amazing recovery. do you think him and his parents or w/e will sue that crap out of that trucking company or what? or was it considered his fault? :confused i mean i know this is the most unimportant thing on his mind right now, but what about his car? i hope he has good insurnace or that truck that hit him has good insurance. that car sounds sweet. Roush mustangs are the shiznit. they're no saleen, but they are still sweet.

His father is an insurance agent with state farm, so the insurance is covered. His older brother has a saleen convt. Charlie's roush is destroyed. The whole rear end was smashed completely up to the back part of the driver's seat.
