Saw the Q50 in person this weekend...

In 2014, the G37 Sedan became Infiniti Q50. G37 Coupe and Convertible became Infiniti Q60 under Infiniti's new naming structure - Here's the place to discuss the Q50 and Q60!

...and all I can say is, WOW!

The pictures don't come close to doing this car justice. The front end treatment is nothing short of gorgeous, and is a lot lower and leaner than it looks in pictures!

Even the non sport model looks like a fair tribute to the r34 up front with the center console similar to the Essence.

It is a fun ride with awesome tech toys. If you drive one made sure it has DAS and the tech package.

Oh also the hybrid has 460 lbs of torque.

So far there are three in my little Central AR suburban community that appear to be mostly driven by soccer moms shuttling kids around. There is a white, a light blue metallic, and a black one. The white one has has waved at me a couple of times when they see me and I'm in Q45. Naturally I wave back. Funny!

I wonder if seeing my 24 yo Q45 rolling around their burb triggered some thoughts of longevity when they went to purchase their new Q50s. Who knows.. I'm sure it didn't hurt.

I wave at the Q45 owners around here when I see them...

Due to crappy tires I've swapped the wheels out to my G winter wheels and I think they will stay on there. I like it a whole lot better than the dark factory sport wheels.

^^^ seems to be a 'chop.

There are some nice Q's out there. I'm still waiting for AWD springs which offer a light drop. Granted, it was nice having the Q at stock height this past week as we had to wade through a creek to get to the rental cabin we had while on vacation. While in the cabin a AT&T truck showed up due to some reported line problem and the first thing he said was "how did you get THAT up here?". Big long (and muddy in places) gravel driveway that was way over 20% grade in a couple places. Our old G35s RWD would probably not have made it....the Q didn't even slip.
