Ok, so maybe not that interesting, but I did see some things on roads in and around Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohio this past week that I either haven't or don't usually see.

First: BMW 3 series from Europe. I.E. had German plates, front and rear. Guy must have brought it over with him for his stay. That or he just picked it up after having done euro delivery, BUT his front and rear cutouts for the plate could fit euro plates ONLY. US plates would not have fit.

Second: a Nissan Platina. This really threw me. I'd never seen this thing before, nor heard of it. And I know Nissans pretty well. I didn't get a chance to look at the plates (was going by too fast :D ) so I had to look it up later on. Found out that it's available in Mexico http://www.nissanplatina.com.mx/

Third: an Acura 1.6 EL. I've never seen this car before either, but based on the Ontario plates, I figured it was a Canadian market car only. Turns out I was right. http://www.fsa.ulaval.ca/perso....6el/

So, yeah, not all that exciting, but fun to learn nonetheless. I really wanted to go to the Good Guy's car show in Columbus this past weekend, but it was about to dump rain when I got there and I was with the girl, so it didn't happen. Oh well. I WILL make her go to a car show...bwahahaha.

Wow, an Acura EL. Thats a new one (to me). Looks maybe based on the 98-01 Civic? Just guessing.

I wonder what else the Canadians are hiding from us up there. I know their Mazda 929 was a Mazda 929 Serenia, and their Dodge Intrepid is a Chrysler Intrepid.

You're probably right Jesda, it's probably a luxo version of the civic. Especially with the 1.6. Funny how Canada gets a luxury civic...kinda like other countries get an Audi A2 (or is it A3?) which is essentially a luxury VW Golf.

As for which 1.6, I couldn't tell you. Most civic motors look about the same to me. I can usually tell differences in the larger b18 series though.

I drove to my friend's house and on the way, in the middle of the fastlane, was a grey and black bird's wing, ripped off, with a bloody stump on one end. Thing is, it was around 4 feet long, and the rest of the bird was no where to be seen.

Stats page notes a SOHC VTEC equipment. D16?

Edit: And that is one nice looking Acura, I definitely prefer it to the Integra, and a B18 would make it a nice beater/winter driver. :)

The EL definately has leather seats, at least as an option. I was talking to an owner on vacation last year. He offered to let me drive, it, but I was a little inebriated, so I declined. He let me sit in it and poke around a bit. A nice-lookng car, I must say. His had rims that look similar to those on the 99-00 (I think) civic SI, and I have seen one with the spoked rims from an integra. Bot looked better than the rims in the pic ablve.

I saw one of those Nissan Micro cars (not sure of the name). I see a lot of overseas market cars because I live near DC, where the diplomats often bring their own cars from their home country. It is cool to see "different" cars around here.

There is one guy with a R33 or R34 Skyline. He is a local boy, though. It came through Motorex. Man was I shocked when I saw THAT on my way home from work...

That's too cool. There's supposed to be a shop in Bristol here that has the 2F2F R34 Skyline. I wouldn't mind driving past that on my way home.
