I am looking at buying a 1990 Infiniti Q45, but *I'll" have to fix a coupld of things. right now the passenger side window and the one in back have stopped in the down position.

1. If I just want to raise windows for now, is it all that difficlut

2. Is there a likely cause for the 1990 Q45 having these power windows problems? the switch? the motor?

3. Since it is a Q45 can I expect to pay alot for parts?

Thanks for any help

Probably needs new window regulators. They're less than $100 each. Does the motor at least make noise when you hit the switch?

Parts are expensive, but at least you can get wholesale prices through one of several site sponsors.

If you decide to get this car I have 2 regulators ( one of them new for $30 each + shipping). Let me know. I have a '90- my 3rd Q - great cars. Had slghtly different heads and are one of the fastest 1st gen Qs. Don't forget to ask about chain guide replacement. If it has not been done, it is a DIY if you are fairly mechanical, lots of posts on the issue to be found using the search function. Good luck w/ the decision.Paul
