Saw a S15 motor in a S13 Coupe!

Very cool! i was cruising along and actually heard him before i ever saw him. loud BOV and typical 4cyl engine sound. he must have been about 2 cars ahead of me and i kept trying to see what it was. finally, i caught a glimpse of a white coupe taking a right and so i followed. ended up following him to a summit racing store, but not before he opened it up a little. damn..that little thing could MOVE...he just took off all of a sudden and i almost lost him.

anyways, i pull up next to him at the store and make some small talk. he popped his hood and there it was...a BEEFY S15 motor. it was beautiful. he was running 17PSI, with a T3 turbo. said he got a hot deal on the motor. very cool sighting that day. i showed him my 10psi T3 KAT setup, but i don't think he was impressed..lol

aren't all SR motors the same except for the turbo and ecu?

And shouldn't a 10psi KAT be about he same in HP as a SR at 17psi? Should be pretty close.

i would think it would be about the same if the sr@17psi was on the stock turbo, but he put the bigger t3 on it.

plus, it's not like we raced or anything. we were taking a left turn and he just took off....i wasn't aware he was going to mash like that.

lol it's a s14 notch top

s15 motor is not worth the money as, from my understanding, is almost exactly the same as s14 expect for full bb turbo and some eletronic/sensor/rear diff

just on top of my head but oh no I might get flamed next!

i dunno s15 motor isnt worth the money but it shows ur balling status lol. my friends cousin has one pretty scary to look at . all decked out with big volk racing rims and this scary looking paint job pushing about 400hp

did any of you guys read the part where he got a really good and cheap deal on the s15 motor..? i mean, i don't think i'd buy one either, but still...if there were 2 equal condition sr motors sitting side by side and the s15 were cheaper. jeez, no sheet i'd take the damn s15.
