Was driving around a coulpe blocks from Lambeau Field today and saw a really tricked out 240sx. I had to stop and scope it out. They showed me the inside, engine bay, and a ton of stereo stuff...

Here's what I know...

92 240sx fastback. miles unknown. White with graphicscustom body kit... really sharp. I have never seen a body kit that has no seams. Seriously... 1 piece! front bumper blends right into the fenders which blend into the sideskirts which blend into the rear fenders which blend into the rear bumper.. I have no clue how he pulled all that off. I am not much of a car stereo expert, but I bet he had $10k worth of audio easily. Mostly Phoenix Gold.. Turns out he's sponsered by PG. And before you start calling out SHOW/RICE... He's got the GO as well. SR20 with Greddy front mount, upgraded turbo, etc... Really shiny engine bay... neon lights in the bay even!

The interior is completely custom... Fiberglass dash with center mount gauges. TV built in with rearview camera. I can't even remember all the crazy stuff.

I think it's all a little overdone for my taste... but it sure is something to see. He really did a very nice job with everything!

This thread is worthless without pics... So here you go.

WOW.....That engine bay is exactly how clean I want mine to be...except no neons and instead blue I want red....Instead of polished sr valve cover I'll keep it red...

For a show car, its nice...but i dislike show cars. Those center mount gauges really piss the hell out of me, how do you see how fast you're going if it's out of your line of sight? Also there's just too much bling in that trunk. The engine bay is nice but too many neons. I dont know, i prefer function.

too much "bling" for me

neons are gay and as far as the body kit

ever heard of "molding" thats what you should do when you get a kit so it looks decent....get it molded and thats the result

*EDIT* after lookin over the pictures again i CANT stand that car

nothing does it for me at all.......he might ahve power but all that "show car bling" is gonna equal that power out

o well

I think its kinda weird that he got sr20det enscribed on the engine bay. Kinda redundant, like those people with huge CAMRY or INTEGRA on their windshield. Whats the point. Other than that, looks like alot of hard work went into that car.

I like it, but at the same time hate it.

That's probably the most "tricked" 240 I've ever seen, but why spend that much on a car when you're never gonna be able to take it out and beat on it. I mean, that car probably never see's 4k RPM. And there is way too much blue in the engine bay for me.

Oh well, to each his own.

I like it for what it is, not what it ain't.

There's some awesome craftsmanship in it.

The vinal stickers on the tails looks cheap-o, but otherwise looks good.

That slide out tray where the taillight garnish used to be is pretty cool.

Hahaha, i was thinking the exact same thing buddyclub240 when i saw the pictures. It all looks pretty decent, well installed anyways, but that little wingish thing sticking out the side looks retarded. It's like there wasnt enough rice for them in the rest of the car so they decided to put side panel wings on for "aerodynamics." Reminds me of something pimp my ride would do, cept it would have to have 8 monitors to be on that show.

Its actually a secret government project using field propulsion disguised as neon lights. The SR20 motor is noting more than a disguised gyro for relative spatial stability.

Thats what makes the wing so crucial, its for keeping the rear in line with the front when breaking the sound barrier.

you ever watch james bond, the one with the car that becomes a submarine.................this is it's cousin.

But really. I could live with everthing except the rear lights treatment. The neon in the bay kinda scares me but.........................I'd hit it.

**EDIT** - BTW, thanks for a nice find and the pics you took. Got anymore?

Hey, my pleasure.. Glad I could share. I actually didn't take any of the pics. I asked him if there were any pics published on CarDomain or some other website yet... He said go to PhoenixGold.com...

Click this page and then go to page 5 linked on the top right of the pics.. http://www.phoenixgold.com/2004/gallery/

Yeah, there are so many better options for wheels IMO. But what really gets me isn't the "tray" on the side (maybe it's a slide out fuse box) or the wing, or the graphics, or wheels, or neons, it's the scoop on the roof!

Seriously... why!?

I see nothing wrong with the car, you guys are just hating lol

the panels on the side and back slide out, they're not wings. Basically they're amp drawers. It's a show car guys. but it could be made to go fast, but they're form based. Neons are a bit much, but they're not gay now... I say the engine bay'd be better w/o though...

but that's how NICO goes. function over form or die

The more I look at it... the more I like it...

I think the wheels are pretty sharp... you can't see, but the center caps say STILLEN on them.

The roof scoop.... Look, on a riced out Civic with very little done to it, I think a roof scoop is completely stupid. But, when you consider the entire package as a whole.. I think the scoop fits, it purely cosmetic of course, but it adds a little more curve to the lines and I like it.

Maybe I should put a scoop on my convertible top!

The wing could be a little lower, but the shape of it's curve goes with the shaping of the bumpers and kit...

What I don't like about the car is all the audio.. I personally like high quality audio that you can't see.

But, here's a factor that I should have mentioned... The owner of the car.. his profession is the owner of a car audio company called Extreme Audio.. note the vinyl on the door. So as the owner of an audio company, and the fact that the car is sponsored by Phoenix Audio... I can totally understand the stereo work that done to it. That includes the custom dash, the motorized side and rear tray, etc...

So overall... I like the car. I wouldn't build it that way myself, but I like it. Then again.. if my business was car audio, I would probably do exactly what he did to show off the products that I sell.

Eh, to each his own. I just really don't like scoops that aren't functional. The last generation of Mustang really got on my nerves. The wheels aren't bad but I think a nice set of HREs or something of the sort would look better. It's not like money is much of a consideration. I also understand that since it's a show car some things are done purely to catch the eye of the judges and people walking by so they'll remember the car.

Anyway, what are those round things where the back seat used to be?

letsee here...

take off the wing, the see through hood, the wheels, the stereo and all the stuff for it, the roof scoop, the decals, heck the interior altogether

then well talk

that car has an sr just to have one imo...those wheels are rolling gobs of unsprung weight...etc

i can appreciate the work, just wouldnt be my car in a million years unless the stuff i mentioned was done

Nice install on a purpose built car audio competition vehicle. Super clean and I'll bet his shop gets lots of business because of it. Probably nicer than 99.9% of the 240's on this board including my hooptie.

Are those trays for amps? I can't tell...

Well, it's clean, and that's what counts for show...however, if I had that budget for a showcar, I would have gone a very different route...Whatever, I'd make in my pants if I saw it on the street, and so would half of you. There are many many many worse things on the road (read: '03 base Cavs with 4 inch mufflers and aluminum wings.)

That seriously has to be one of the ugliest cars I have ever seen. Christ, what a waste of money.
