Hey folks;

Sorry i have no pics, as i am not a fanboy of technology, but i do enjoy the products of technology, when used and displayed by others. The 370Z is wide----its shape is ambiguous. I don't know what to make of it from behind. it does not evoke the sex appeal i have come to associate with the 350Z.

The interior is pleasantly nice---well layed out and the plastic material inside is first grade material. The instrument displays are eye-pleasing--still orange in color. And, it seems the car is lower to the ground. When you sit inside of it, you almost feel like you a$$ is touching the road.

The 370Z looks like an egg in many ways, especially from the rear. It is indeed shorter than the previous G. I opened up the hood and it looks exactly like the G-37 engine layout.

What I have noticed so far, is that the G-37 and the 370Z share a lot in common----their designs are excessively bold, and both have lost some form of visual sex appeal, while their interior technologies have dramatically improved.

I wonder who the designer of the next generation of Gs and Zs, really is. is this person loosing his/her edge or what?

the 370z has the same basic frame as the GTR. The styling is very similar too.

Don't worry Jacko, it will grow on you!

I just read the article in motor trend about it. I really like the 370Z... I can't wait until I see a 370z Roadster! that will be hot.

Yep! I saw it at a dealership and I actually sat inside of it. Feels real good but I am not sure about the looks. Its really wide from the rear.In fact, with fatter tires adn wheels, the 370Z might have issues going through ssome small downtown or inner city streets which tend to be narrow.

Thats the problem, the previous zs and gs did not have to grow on me--they were beautiful in my eye at first sight.

More I see them the more I like them(in magazine)inside and out. Spring time I might testdrive one. My wife likes the TT so she won't go for the 370.

The #'s are impressive. 0-60 under 5 seconds. .99G I would get one to the heartbeat if I lived less snowy area.

WTF is up with the square backup light in the lower rear bumper? I love the exterior otherwise. From what I hear the 3.7 will be able to handle aftermarket twin turbos without a build.

I'm going to keep the G coupe as a DD and invest in a 370 in a couple years.

I had an 03 350Z and loved it!

I sat in the 370Z during the Follow the Z tour. I fit in it which I don't do with the 350Z (I'm 6'5"). It's a very nice package. On the down side, you have no vision to the rear quarters.

i have to agree i liked the 05-06 body style right off the back. the newer g37/370z style caught me off guard (thats what its suppose to do i guess)... its just more square... i guess they call it "bold"... but i have to admit it is growing on me...

then you cant argue the performance numbers for the price

Jacko,Finally saw one at my local Nissan dealer last night!!!Have to give it I wasn't sure about the front lights looking at my Car & Driver, but looks great in person! Was a black one too!! Great job on the interior.

Did not get to hear it since it was in the show room.

I did notice that they had a market adjustment of $2000

Also, they had two new 08's with a $5,700 discount marked on the windshield.

Well done! Maybe the blue color I saw was the reason for my assessment. Maybe it looks better in black. I will have to see it in black to revise my assessment.

I like it a lot for some reason. I thhinks its the paint, but the back bumper isn't really apealing to me.

Dear Nissan:

I would like to see an AWD G37 Sedan with overkill transmission, differentials, and engine internals (no oil consumption, or noisy valves requiring upscenely expensive oil please).

I'd like a single or twin turbo option and a smooth, capable, 7 speed manual transmission (please make two overdrive gears so I'm not pegging 3k rpms at 80 mph).

Finally, keep weight and collision repair costs in mind when designing this vehicle. I'd be happy to pay $45K for this car.

Oh and please stop using Clarion for your Audio Head units. They suck!

Sincerely,

Nissan/Infiniti Consumer

Nate, it is always important to get these things off our chests. I feel your rage and desire for Infiniti.

Somehow, I love my car more because it is highly unrefined. I have never understood the feeling--I just know I like the car that way. The G-35 sedan HR engine is refined---very refined and more powerful and yet, my spirit has not come to terms with it yet.

The square light is a rear fog light. It's not suppose to be active in the US, but I noticed it at the dealership when I visited.

I'm 6'2" and 200lbs and I was SOO uncomfortable in the 370. I won't buy it for that reason. When I test drove the G37 Coupe I was much more comfortable.
