Had a trunk issue. Some of you may already be aware of this problem.

I have an '06 6MT sedan. Every once in a while, without explanation, totally randomly, I would lose the function of my trunk buttons (on the key fob, the inside button, and the exterior button), forcing me to open the trunk through the ski pass in the back seat. (Embarrassing as I drive clients and suppliers around)

Took it to Beaverton Infiniti, who kept it all day and said it was due to shutting the car off before it came to a complete stop. Now, I do not shut off before stopping, but I was told even a slow roll would do it.

It is a safeguard against popping the trunk while the car is in motion. The computer's last input is that it is rolling, therefore the trunk is locked out.

On the bright side, I had an '07 sedan all day. Man, what a sales pitch to put a guy w/ an '06 into an '07 all day.

All I have to say is, you lucky dogs with the '07s are PUNKS! hahahaha!!!

So stop fully before shutting down...and someone trade their '07 to me for my '06!

Cool. Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I have the autotragic, so I won't have that problem, but thanks for the info!
