The 350Z may be going away this weekend. Someone is coming to look at her and it may be the last dance we have! Hopefully the roads are clear enough i can take her out for one last fun run.

What car do you think i should own next? Toss up between these few. (prefer AWD, prefer sedan) Nonetheless a luxury performance.

Discussion.....

Didn't think you'd be ballin enough for an RS6. Those cars are pure bad ***. If I had the money...... gosh damn I don't know, the CTS-V is just plain bad ***. I don't man, its like choosing between Eva Longoria and Hayden Panetierre, you're gonna be stared at with either of them, and make many men jealous.

If not the RS6, why not the RS4? Or are you looking for something larger? The RS4s have come way down in price, from when they first came out. I'm sure I've seen some for close to $35k-ish.

Ryan's looking for something more upscale. I had an Evo and driven and Evo X, it can't even come close to what the cars he's thinking about offer.

4 cylinder turbo, meh, not for me.... to much goes wrong when you start making power. Now twin turbo V8 (rs6) you don't need to do anything....Not knocking the Z in anyway, just want something sedan AWD (preferably) that i can drive everyday no matter what, and fast! Then maybe cut out the Lexus and have one car for awhile.Drove an RS6 and loved it, really want it but don't know about the whole expensive maintenance... not as bad as BMW and Mercedes, although i don't think any maint is as high as BMW.... effing ridiculous which is why i don't want an M5.

You should consider the Infiniti M35 (not the G). It's a Z with 4 doors. :-)

Go test drive a Trailblazer SS AWD. It's basically a 4 door AWD vette. If nothing else, it would be a fun test drive.

Did I mention you can pick up a 2007 with ~20k for less than $20k?

And as I mentioned before I love to drive Audi's (picked up my buddy's A6 this evening), but just don't think I'd ever want to own one .

don't like dodge juice... good looking tho.

don't know if i want an SUV or not. The SS is sweet. Where is one for under 20k with 20k or less?

yeah i'm not a huge fan of the RS6's looks but the performance and luxury side of it is what thrills me. Same with the g35x - kinda ugly too. I don't think i really like the looks of most of the sedans i like, but i like 'em!

i'm surprised no one commented on the super gay thread title... lol

do they sell the new one over here? To my knowledge 2003 was the only year they sold in the US.... which is why they are so hard to find..... go to autotrader and search for them - all 2003's

don't know about the US, but they've been selling the new RS6 in Europe since last year. Expensive, though.

Chad, I figured you'd be going for that sexy 4 door that Porsche is now offering. JFWY That being said if had to get rid of my Z I'd be looking for a Cayman S.

Mezz, sorry to hear you're (potentially) leaving the Z family. To make an accurate car recommendation though we need to know how much you're willing to spend. There's a big cash gap between an RS6 and a G35X.

I did vote for the G35X as its affordable and reliable and still keeps you in the Nissan family. And as you already know, maintenance & upkeep would be substantially less than it would be from anything coming out of Deutschland (I say that and I'm a whore for Bavarian autos). Another AWD sedan that I've always been partial to but you didn't list is the Subaru Legacy - I know some out there will consider it a little stodgy looking, but done right they exude class without looking forced. Plus, they're always make one hell of a sleeper.

does anyone realize the RS6 sedan was only sold in 2003 in the US? They are not priced that high. I've found like 5 less than $30k. Yeah its $85k+ brand new but the maintenance i think is what drives the price down on resale. dunno but not complaining. Yeah i may just keep the Z and still buy another car, or i may get rid of the Z and get the Gx and then RS6 later on. I dunno. Dealer with an 04 Gx wants to look at my Z for possible straight up trade (doubt they do it but won't hurt to take it in).

Any recommendations or more discussion. As far as price, i am looking used and $30k is my limit.

BusyBadger have you driven that Cayman I thought the S version was peice of crap way tooo noisy for the price. Now I did however go drive a 08 Z06 vette. WOW that thing has a big heart. When I put my foot through the floor it put my head in the hatch and took oxygen from the other cars around me. I like the Z06 alot.

mezz at $30K the only car on the lux end you will find is prob a demo or used G37 sedan or a Lexus IS250/350 maybe a GS350 but mileage may be an issue on that one.
