I'm moving this to politics.

Mr Moyer makes a very passionate, if very lengthy and rambling argument. However, he doesn't back up any of his points with facts or with proposed legislation. If he's not going to easily back up his diatribe with facts pulled from proposed legislation, why should I believe what he has to say? He doesn't even mention once in his rant about government taxation on net usage. His entire article is against conglomerate consolidation of internet media. That has NOTHING to do with your original purpose OP. Nothing.

Also, and this is just me nitpicking a little more. Mr Moyer really should have taken a few extra minutes to collect his thoughts and construct a well laid out argument. I found myself skimming 80% of his article because it was trivial fluff that was designed to incite a feeling of persuasion for his cause, whatever it really is.

Spinning an issue only incites emotion, actually presenting a situation and what needs to be done about incites action.
