Satellite Radio in a 2011 G25x???

New to the forum and currently looking at used G25x's (2011). When I read about these cars it seems that they come equipped with satellite radio capability standard, but they don't all have an activated subscription to satellite radio. The one I test-drove yesterday did not have any button on the radio indicating SAT. Does this mean the car doesn't have the module at all for XM/Sirius?

How can you tell? Of course the salesman was no help.

And can the module be added aftermarket?

Just checked the factory brochure for my '11 sedan. The sat radio was an option either as a stand alone or part of the navigation package. If you have it and want to subscribe, I'd strongly urge you to call them and negotiate the price. When my original subscription ran out I told them I didn't want to renew and, after a little back and forth, I got a substantial discount. Not sure what you need to do if yours didn't come with it.

It would seem that whoever purchased this car new didn't opt for the satellite radio, since there's no SAT button in the cluster at all. I wonder if I can even install a module without a button to switch to SAT. My Subaru has a SAT button that does nothing b/c there is no receiver installed. BUT, I can install it and not have to change the head unit b/c the button is there.

I assume you don't have an AM-FM SAT button at the lower left just below the screen?

Can't say for sure. Trying to find a pic of the dash in the ad but it's shot from too far away.

Just looked at the dash pic on cars.com (much clearer pic) and the button at the bottom-left of screen says RADIO-AM/FM . There is a shark-fin antenna on the roof. Weird.

The antenna isn't just for the radio, it's also for navi.

I don't think this car has nav. It wasn't in the listing. Oh well, doesn't look like this will be the one - they won't budge on the trade-in value. Thanks for your help!
