Anybody else have problems with Sirius channels being missing from your subscription? Sirius told me the newer channels they added aren't picked up by my older stock radio. I have a 06 M35x. Am I just stuck?

Welcome to NICO.
Sorry to hear about your tuner. Apparently you are not alone. As with any tech product, upgrades can only go back so many years as the new programming is based on, and designed for use by the newer tuners. I found this at the XM site:

Certain older Sirius radios lack the appropriate bandwidth to receive over 128 channels, including many which have been added in recent years such as many of our play-by-play sports channels. We apologize for any inconvenience. Visit our store where you'll find a variety of radios including ones that can be used in your vehicle. Current SiriusXM subscribers may be eligible for discounts on most radios. If you'd like to upgrade your radio to one of our newer models so you can receive the additional channels, call 1-866-528-7474. Our Listener Care agents are available Monday thru Saturday 8am – 11pm ET and Sunday 8am – 8pm ET to assist you.

You will probably be shocked at the cost for an updated tuner at your local dealer. I would suggest one of two solutions:
1) find a used tuner from a newer model year on Ebay or other sites and hope the wiring harness has not changed. (It likely has)
2) buy a small tuner from SiriusXM that mounts under your dash or on the console. There are usually good discounts on tuner prices and free months on the new subscription.

Nothing more to add to what Larz said. Technology moves on, the older receivers in our M's are obsolete.
It is good business for Sirius/XM however, as they upsell customers new hardware & channel packages, much the same as microsoft does for Windows.

How much does a subscription cost? I see those adds for 5mos. $20.00, but auto subscriptions puts you to regular rates after the intro term expires!

Yeah I wish I knew before I upgraded my subscription that the channels I wanted I couldn't get. What makes me upset is that my wife's 2005 Cadillac SRX STILL gets all the channels and my 2006 Infiniti is out of date. I didn't realize I was missing channels until I heard certain channels in her truck but couldn't get them in my car. I paid about $120 for the year for Sirius select.

If I'm honest, I have to say monthly rates are quite reasonable.
My contract started with a similar deal: 6 months for $25, the near the end of that period, they offered me 3 additional months for another $25. That gave me 9 months for $50. My current subscription includes "all access" plus live traffic and weather for each section of the country. (luckily my tuner is not yet obsolete). That is the highest priced package. The actual charge is $31 monthly and I set up auto-pay so it simply comes off my checking balance. I can review it online when I review and balance my account each month. They have never overcharged me. Unfortunately, they have NEVER forgotten to charge me either.
I reckon there are lower priced packages without the optional traffic and weather. What I like most is the lack of constant adverts on many channels. I have 15 preset channels to scroll through with my steering wheel. They include a symphony channel to keep my wits in traffic jams, CNN and BBC News to keep me informed, dance music, local stations live from NY, Chicago, and Boston, electronic music, The Blend, The Pulse, Christian Rock, etc. When I drive up to Maryland later this month, I select traffic / weather for Wash/Balto/metro area, so between my NAV and XM, I can avoid accidents and be prepared for temps and conditions before I even get to Maryland.

I just use my phone for the higher channels, but I have the same problem.
