SAT button not used...Used for something else?

I know if you have SAT radio installed as an option in our 03-04 what that SAT button is used for. Since I do not have that option I was wondering if that was an empty input in the back of our head unit that we might utilize for maybe some type of IPOD input and use the SAT button to switch it to use it like the radio and cd changer buttons.

I had a aux input in the back of my Acura TL head unit and a company named Blitzsafe made an adapter for an IPOD that plugged directly into that aux port and played the ipod through the factory system and charged my IPOD at the same time. It's an awsome adapter, but I miss it in my M.

Does anyone know of a similar device for our cars that might just plug in to the SAT input if there is indeed one there just not being used?

Did you ever get an IM about this or found out on your own? I am interested in plugging an Ipod or something else in and would like to know.
