This is a review for anyone interested in a fiberglass lip kit. I ordered the oem style lip kit from sarona and it came in today. It took about 11 days from order date for it to arrive. So far the quality looks good and the fiber glass was laid thick. I'm going to test fit it tomorrow and will update with pics and the outcome of this kit.

Sarona used a shipping agency called seko logistics. The packaging could have been a lot better. It was wrapped with a single thin sheet of plastic (not any thicker than sandwich wrap) and stuffed in a large box. When the package arrived, it had two large puncture holes but luckily the fiberglass was unscathed other than a few scratches. You would think paying $199 for handling and shipping, sarona would do a better job.

I just spoke to them last week I am trying to find how much it will cost to have the kit painted and matched to my car. I am also getting the fenders too. please post how the test fit goes and some pics please. the final product would be awesome.

Thanks

that's a scary thought...I know when I'm ready to pick up the Sarona side skirts, I'll definitely be using my Pay Pal account so if the shipping is damaged, I'll get my money back.... :dblthumb:

I'm in for installation pics & fitment.

I can tell you that Sarona sells a lot of the Y50 body kit but for some reason no one comes to share info or pics of the product. I think m45pham will be the 1st to share this with us. :dblthumb:

As most here already know I go to Sarona and have seen the Y50 kit boxed and ready to ship a few times but never seen anyone post about it.

I sell the Sarona roof spoiler for the Y50 the most and can say I never had a problem with the product. I'm waiting for someone to pull the trigger on the new roof spoiler for the M37.

For those that don't know I've been pushing Sarona to make more product for the M's for the past 2.5yrs, if you look at the website you can see my pics of my M. The problem is not only Sarona but demand for product is very low.

Good luck with install, Freddie

Does the side skirts replace the factory rocker panel or covers over it?

Fitment is good. I say about a 8.5 out of 10. There are some areas that the lip doesn't flush up with the body which kind of bothers me but is expecting from a fiberglass kit. No pics of the lip test fitted on the car since I didn't have anyone to help me take pics while I held it in place.

I just dropped it off to a paint shop and will have it painted and installed by this friday for $250. Will update you guys with the final pics.

Here are pics of it out of the box. As you can see, quality is pretty good as they have pre-drilled holes and tabs to bolt up to existing factory mounts.

The shipping company opens the package and has you inspect it on the spot. If damaged then you just don't sign off and they return it to sarona. It's a good policy but would be a bummer to have to wait for a new kit.

Will you be using double sided tape as well or just screws, how many screws will it take for each part?

Thanks! lol. I spent the last 30 minutes trying to force the thing over the existing oem side skirt. Too bad there hardly is any threads that covers how to install these things.

I'm not sure. The guy that's painting it said he'd install it as part of the deal. Hopefully he does a combination of both. But from what I can see, it mostly bolts up using existing mounts that are already on the car.

You'll need 3M tape at least for the rear spoiler, for the top part that touches or meets the bumper.

CPJ LB let me know when your ready and I'll see what I can do for you.

I think Sarona told me in the past that UPS sometimes gets picky with over size packages but I'll check for you when your ready.

Waiting to see pics from m45pham :)

I've seen the spoiler kit in person and it all looks good but never seen or heard of the fitment.

Sorry guys. I kind of forgot about this post. The kit came out well and the fitment was a 7 out of 10. Some of the predrilled holes didn't line up with the factory holes on the car. Sarona makes great replicas. If I were to buy from them again, absolutely. But for the price they charge for this replica, probably not. I would rather source out a used oem kit for the price sarona offers or even more.

As for pics, I don't have anything besides my iphone so I can't really upload pics. If someone wants pics, just reply to this thread with your email and I'll send them.
