It was just my honest reaction. There's nothing positive I have to say about her. :bigthumb:

Why not? Just because someone differs in opinion with you it doesn't mean they're a bad person. I agree with about 5% of what Obama does and says but I would have him as my neighbor any day. Deep down I'm sure he's doing what he feels is right for his country and I respect his opinion. I respect it but don't agree with it. Did you catch that? Disagree without being an ***hole. I do my best not to let political differences change my opinion of a persons character. Maybe you could do the same.

Lighten up, dawg. Alaska is one of the most awesome places and I think you'll admit that you'd bang Sarah 8 days a week. Hot mom's FTW!

You could have just stopped there to let me answer. Your response wasn't even relevant to my criticisms of Palin.

:gotme Huh?

I'm not sure what you're meaning by "bad person." If you mean undesirable political candidate, then I disagree.

Lol what? Presumptuous much?

That about sums up what you had to say, I think.

Actually, I do have plenty of positive things to say about Alaska and hot moms. This wouldn't be the place for that, however.

This show is a clever piece of propaganda designed to re-shape and strengthen Sarah Palin's image. Is that such a bad thing to barf over? :gotme

Sounds like you guys know Sarah personally... maybe you know her at least enough to defend her vigorously at any sign of dissent or disapproval.

It's not that clever.

It's going to provide a great amount of distraction from actual relevant issues, and it's blatantly trying to do so, by focusing on what Alaskans think of Alaska and Sarah Palin. She'd have been less transparent if she'd made Trig the centerpiece of her Down Syndrome Awarenes Special.

What issues? We're talking about hot moms and Alaska's qualities. :gapteeth:

My response was in jest. I totally agree with you that this is all meant to distract and over-personalize voters' interaction with Palin. They are setting her up for the long run attempt at office. When that will happen, is hard to say.

 Why would you do that? My mom is not a political figure/celebrity. Surely you see the distinction.

infiniti_lineup wrote:But, you do understand that Palin, at her core, is just a struggling white woman living in the outskirts and poverty of the United States working hard to support her five children?
No way.

At the time of the 2008 election she owned five properties, two boats, and one plane. Her income has sky-rocketed since. Something like $12 million in 2009 and more to come this year with the help of the new show.

There is no struggle for her, other than her political and ideological battles.
infiniti_lineup wrote:PLEASE, be nice!
Why? She is a political figure on the national stage. She doesn't need anyone to protect her.

My bad, I thought you were being serious based on what was written earlier in the thread.

I have no problems with Palin as a person.

My problem with her is that she seems to be listened to. She truly hasn't the slightest clue how basic economics works, foreign policy, etc.
And I have no problem with your average person not knowing these things. I know for certain I don't have the economics background to run a country. The problem arises when these uninformed people are given a soap box, and people listen to them, or worse, when these people are put in positions of power.

There are thousands of extremely educated and experienced Republicans that are qualified to make a presidential run/be the voice of the GOP. Palin is neither of those things. All I ever see out of her, is how to pander to a crowd. She tells people what they want to her, (No Taxes! Cut Spending!) not because she's trying to hoodwink people, but I truly think she doesn't understand what goes into government.

OMG! I think that's the first thing you've ever said that I agree with. Well done, sir.
