Not only that, but I find my self using Hydra Vision more than I use my 5670 for gaming. As of now I have 2 monitors and 1 42' plasma. I plan on getting a 3rd monitor so I would love to be able to use them all, but with my 5670 I can only run 3 monitors at onceAmays U G37S wrote:Crossfire technology is the boss!
The 5870 is actually more powerful as a single card than the 6870. The 6 series is supposed to scale a LOT better with crossfire.Crazyirish wrote:5870? A little old isn't it? I never recommend last generation cards, even on sale.
Exactly. The tech moves so fast that spending money on anything that's not top-end or near top-end is just throwing your money in the trash.Crazyirish wrote:Its just my build philosophy when it comes to computers. If you are a gamer, video cards outpace themselves so quickly its a little irritating.
I agree; but that doesn't mean you shouldn't recommend the card. It all depends on who you are recommending to. I am not a "gamer" but this card is a great deal and I will eventually like to run more than 3 monitors but only have 1 PCI express slot.Crazyirish wrote:If you are a gamer, video cards outpace themselves so quickly its a little irritating.
Crazyirish wrote:I suppose not too many users ever go over 3. You use them for graphics design?
No, I have just a massed a great entertainment setup and like the flexibility to be able to use more different monitor setups based off my needs.RCA wrote:and I will eventually like to run more than 3 monitors but only have 1 PCI express slot.
