i was wondering if anyone can help me. I am trying to install my oil pressure gauge, and i bought a sandwich plate, however, i dont know if i need to take the bolt that the stock oil filter goes to out, or just add the new threading to the stock one, or if i can even take the old one out. thanks.

I dont know if you can take the bolt out.

But anyways you dont need to remove it, just put the new bolt in.

I removed the stock Oil pressure sensor and inserted my own fitting with my pressure gauge sensor into it.

I just did one. You just put the plate on and use the bolt they supply to tighten it down on to the existing bolt

When I installed my sandwich plate, I had horrid oil leaks. I had the big bolt tightened down enough, but it was leaking around the sensors. Make sure you get those things tight! I was worried about stripping out the threads since it was only an ebay special.

I used teflon tape on the 2nd time around. But this depends on your sensors. They may be grounded through the engine, so you cannot use teflon tape, you will have to use a liquid thread sealant.

I found the sandwich plate made the oil filter easier to get off by hand, since it makes it stick out by an extra inch or so.
