Guys this is gonna be quite the event. If we can get 20 or more people together for this the tix are 20% off. Not to mention it could get NICO's name put on their litature. Any and all that seriously will go to this post and commit! I am in if we can get the group together for it. I have more then 20 of you listed in the norcal thread. If any of you decide you want to go post here before purchasing. We need to move fast on this guys.

I am going to see if I can get tickets ... at this late date, I do not know if it is possible.

Looks like tickets are still available, including one-day General Admission. The prices are high, though, particularly with the TicketMaster "Convenience Fee" add-ons! Sheesh!

I wish my son were in town ... he would get in free if I bought an adult ticket and would get a real kick out of it. Then I would definitely do it ... right now, I am debating whether I want to take the day and go.

The race itself is Sunday afternoon.

Hey, haven't been on nico for a while, and just saw this. I'm planning on going on Sunday and might go Saturday too. Do we have enough people, or are we even doing this still? Even if the group buy doesn't play out, we should meet up somewhere. If anyone wants to meet up before hand or carpool, I'm leaving from San Bruno. Hope to see some of you guys there. Laters.

Well, I went today and while it was a total mess because they just don't have their **** together, which is not supprising since it's the first time they've had it here, but it was still a blast. Nothing like watching the CHAMP cars blast past the Fairmont. I can't wait for tomorrow and especially the race on Sunday.

Wonder if any other nico members made it?

I got offered for free 3 day passes to the NHRA event at infinion raceway this weekend. Turned those down because of my family outing. I know I will probably kick myself for that later...lol

family always comes first, but man you're definatly missing out on one hell of a show at the grand prix. The Trans Am cars and the Touring cars today were bad ***! Tomorrow should be exciting w/ the Atlantic and the CHAMP cars

That must be Mt. Hamilton. Thats where the flipped Dinan 8 incident happened...fun route, but can be dangerous.

No not mount hamilton. Better. Bohemian hwy. about 15 to 20 miles west of Santa Rosa in the coastal mountian ranges. Visualize this, 200 to 300ft redwoods trees on either side of the road, nothing but brush and trees right up against the bank of the road. no room on the pavement for painted white lines on either side. The trees and brush are your white lines, occasionally passing a house whose garage meets the apshault and your mirrors come within inches of hitting it as you pass it. The only sky you can see while driving this road is the small patches between the branches of the rewood trees towering directly over head.

Heh, sounds like Bonny Doon, although wrong location.

As for the Grand Prix, it was awesome and ammusingly enough I think the most popular event was the drifting exhibition each day. My favorite event was the Touring cars, I could see myself making it to that level of racing eventually. They were also the loudest cars on the track... figures integras and minis and such would be louder than a damn champ car...

oh yeah, and I also won a $15 gift certificate to LeMans Karting which is awesome. I went there a couple years ago and it was the most fun I think I've ever had... EVER. Anyone else been there? We should do a NICO meet there sometime, get a group discount.
