Hey, I saw a dark red pignose hatch sitting in the employee parking lot of Fiesta Texas. I was just wondering if it belonged to anybody on here. Looked to have a 2.25"-2.5" cat back on. Didn't look at it for too long. Is it anybody on here? If so, I'm the midnight blue pignose that's ALWAYS there.

Dont think I know that person. There are a LOT of 240 guys here locally. Hell, tonight were having a birthday party for one! How long have you had your car? Whats done to it? I had an SR but the head wanted oil and it didnt get it.

I've only had it since March. It's kind of beat up right now. It's stock right now, but I'm swapping in an SR in July. Do you know of any good shops around here for a swap? I'm planning on going to Maximum Velocity Motorsports. Any experience with them?

since I already have my motor and all of the parts, he quoted me $450 for labor! I'm sure that it will cost more, but Tim seems to have a good amount of experience. I'm going to pay them a visit on Tuesday and see what can be worked out. I just don't trust myself to do the swap. If something doesn't work I want to be able to point my finger at them instead of hitting myself over the head.

I would REALLY recommend NOT going to him. He will come up with charges to charge you more and get more money. I took my car there to have the timing fixed but it wasnt the timing. He said I had low fuel pressure so I told him to let me replace it with a free one from autozone because I had installed the previous one wrong. He said NO. I paid him 500 and LIMPED the car home on the access road from Bandera to Harry Wurzbach. I put a new fuel pump in and it ran like a champ after that. tim doesnt know JACK!!!!

I would love to do the swap on my own, or with the help from some people. How long did it take you to do the swap? Shoot me an e-mail. Maybe we can hang out sometime. I'm pretty inexperienced with working on cars, so I am sort of reluctant to do this kind of thing on my own. I only have one day off of work each week, so I pretty much have a 24 hour time frame do the swap. Tim told me that he would do the swap, plus install my SPEC stage 2 clutch and bunch of other parts for $600. If he has a bad rep for adding hidden charges then I won't go there. But he seems like he's going to hook me up with a pretty good deal. My biggest worry about doing the swap myself is all of the wiring. I have absolutely NO experience with wiring, and it confuses the hell out of me. Anyways, get back to me, we'll talk. If anything, we can hit the track together sometime or something. Thanks!

Sounds good. I would send my wiring to someone like HT. Thats where I had mine done. Yeah, Tim will act all nice but when it comes down to it he's real shady. Sold my friend a "Greddy" strut bar. I bought one off of e-bay and it was the SAME exact bar except a Greddy sticker stuck on it. E-mail me also and I'll try to help you as much as possible. I'm trying to be a firefighter but we can make time to do the swap.
