Hello All,

I switched my phone to Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and I paired this phone via Bluetooth and car does not prompt to import address book. It requires to push it from the phone. The Samsung / Android phones don't have direct option to export the address book via bluetooth. After spending couple of unsuccessful attempts, this is what worked for me and hopefully will help someone else in need.

on the car, it was something like this:

Settings/ Phone / Bluetooth / download phone book and it then tells you to have the phone send the contacts.

on the phone, contacts / top right three dots next to two people icon / settings / contacts / import export contacts / export to device storage. this will then copy the contacts to the phone storage as vcf file. i used ES File explorer app (free) to find this and then pressed on it for couple of seconds and it gets selected with a check box. At the bottom right, three vertical dots, there is an option "Share" and then next screen gives the option to Use Bluetooth. At this time car display will indicate the address book being downloaded.

Thanks

I have the same phone and what I did was download my contacts from my favorites list (Under 40). If I remember correctly our phone book memory in the M is only 40. How did it go for you? Did you download your complete phone book? More than 40 contacts?

Yes, I was able to import all 200+ contacts. The manually created phone book can only have 40 but downloaded can have lots.

Thanks for this tip. This issue also happens with my LG G3 on my 2011...it showed me that it was downloading the files and that it finished, but they never showed up. I'll have to try this.
