Quick question, i don't think it should be a big deal but I thought i'd get the people who know their stuff to chime in.

my current setup is 19" g35 rays, 19x8 in front and 19x8.5 in the back. i'm on the oem tires, being bridgestone potenza re050 225/45 front and 245/40 rears. i'm going to be replacing the tires at some point cause the tread is getting low, and i'm wondering if it's ok to throw some 245/40 on all 4 rims. although the fronts are half an inch thinner than the rear rims, there shouldn't be an OD difference, just the front tires will look a bit fatter (if anyone notices) than the rear. can anyone think of any issues with this?

i ask cause it's tough to find two pairs of matching tires in this size that don't cost $300 per tire or more. i want to get hankook ventus v12 evo's but they don't have 225/45's

I don't see much of an issue with this at all... 245s might be a bit wide, even for the wider 8.5s, so if you can find some 235/40s I think you'll be in much better shape.

Toxik had the g37 replica 18s on his car. They measured 18x8s and he used 225/45 tires on his and they fit really nicely. 40 is a good sidewall size (I imagine the 225/45s might have looked a bit thick on 19s), but I'd have to say my recommendation is 235/40-19 all around. With the front tires, you might have a bit of swelling over the lip of the wheel but I imagine the rears will be pretty flush with it.

Use this website to check your diameters and tire sizes if you want. It's a pretty useful tool. Word!

yeah i did some looking at tire calculators, and the recommended rim size for 245 tires was actually 8.5 but the range was 8-9.5". my current setup has no swelling of the tires on my rear rims, but i assumed that they might on the fronts if i went with 245 on 8.0" rims.

also, i'm planning on getting kumho ecsta LX platinum tires which only come in 245/40/19 for any of their 19" tires. again, i figured they would be ok, but i wanted to double check, any other input is welcome

Yeah I have the g37 19s and I'm running 245/40 all the way around for about 3 months now and I have had no problems.

Throw up some close-up pics of front and rear? I would like to see the difference of the look of the tire on the lip front vs rear. Word!

what are the size of your rims? are the g37 rims the same as the g35 19's?
