Since these wheels became discontinued, it seems that there are 15 new threads made about them each day. So I found a set on Ebay, not quite what we all paid last year, but they were not discontinued then.

here you go http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories

Mods feel free to move this to the wheel section whenever you want. I just wanted to get exposure for all of the people who only post in here as well.

Thanks

I saw them on ebay this morning. That is still a crazy expensive price. I would love to get a set of these. I guess 300 a wheel isnt bad.

Why did they discontinue them?

That's a lot more expensive form the price I last saw them. $1200? Are you insane?

referring to the classic term of ricey... they're a bit ricey if put on a coupe with no nismo performance parts actually added

now if we're talking 350z rims !

Not true, it's like saying it's ricey if you put on 350z wheels but it's still not a 350z. Wheels are wheels.

It's ricey because it says "Nismo." If you don't have it.. why flaunt it? Lol... It would be considered rice if the 350z wheels said 350z on them and you put em on a si...

Or like my friend that wants to put GT-R on his Pontiac G6 GT because he bought the GT-R exhaust for it.. Or the fact he wants to be the P after the GT to make it look like the G6 GTP instead of the G6 GT... It's all rice =D! Yummy!

See?

But I guess to each his own... I guess..

Nismo is Nissan's Performance products for ...... Wait for it............NISSAN! Adding Nismo products to a Nissan is like adding peanut butter to Jelly. Plus Nismo Wheels are lightweight Forged Wheels at a fraction of the price of other Forged Wheels. Not seeing your point! That is like saying if you have a mustang, you can't add Roush Wheels or putting TRD Wheels on a Toyota. They are performance parts made specifically for a certain make!

first time I ever thought of it as a performance part. you make a logical and valid point, but it wouldn't fly or settle with a lot of people. still myself, and the area I'm in.. I'm not one for the idea until some real work is done to the car.. guaranteed you see tons of people with little nismo stickers they apply to their rims and skirts... I see it all the time. It's rather annoying when nismo is plastered on a car that has nothing nismo about it.. nismo floor mats.. nismo seats.. lol.then you ask "what'd you do to your car?" you usually receive a blank stare or the following face and get the reply "nuffin er dur its bone stuck!" nothing wrong with stock cars.. mines stock

all I'm saying is that it's a silly thing to do before doing other things, IMO. I think the "IMO" should patch things up.

Nightmare - im not sure what is going on with you or your posts....

These rims would be a huge upgrade to the car. HUGE.

The unsprung weight alone enough said. They look hot. Where could you go wrong. If any of your nj tuner peeps had anything to say about these rims i would tell them they were crazy.

Your crap canadian car owning friend needs to be shot, nuff said.

I really like those rims, they are performance gold if you think about it.

I totally support you putting on parts for your car that you like. I don't think the wheels are all that Ricey...cuz if we are saying that..the SVT Cobra rims on my tbird falls into that category. SVT never made a thunderbird. Well they *sorta did*- but that's nostalga for my tbird people's

+1 for hot wheels+1 for lightweight-.5 for price

I agree that putting stickers on your car is "Rice" if you will unless of coarse you have sponsors. Putter, lighter/larger/stickier wheel and tire combo just makes good sense, and that is what these forums are all about, hooking your car up the way "You" want!

u can just peel the little nismo sticker on the rims off if u think it is to ricey. then u just have sexy forged lightweight wheels. did i mention they are pure sex....and did i mention i have them lol. i paid $1200 for the four rims last march before they discontinued them and at the time i was so excited because it was such a great deal. I felt terrible when a couple of months later sets were selling for almost half the price.

Your math is close, but here's what I think-

+1 for hot wheels+1 for lightweight+5 for the price (I paid less than half what this ebay auction is going for )

And Nlghtmare, if you don't want the Nismo logo on there, peel it off. Personally I think it compliments my nismo grill emblem

a Nismo sticker on non-nismo rims would be ricey but putting on actual Nismo rims is putting on Nismo parts . What is wrong with it?

So if these wheels are discontinued does that imply they will be making a new style?

This is the first I heard about them discontinued. I had intended on getting a set in gunmetal eventually.
