It's been about a month and I still haven't figured it out. Again, here are the symptoms:

In 1st gear, it sticks to 1st and makes a screeching/grinding noise until I pull out to neutral AND disengage the clutch.

In reverse is the same.

When shifting to next gear, If I shift and the engine rpm is over 2000 with my clutch still engaged, it'll give me a grinding which eventually goes away - with my clutch engaged.

If I disengage my clutch right away, it'll catch and everything is normal... But you can still feel the grinding when you initially put it into the next gear.

****Now I took it apart last week, and lubricated the throwout bearing (release bearing) because it wasn't lubricated at all. I was not sure if this had to be lubricated or not, therefore I only lubed it a little bit. After we put it back together, it worked fine for a couple days, then it started giving me the grinding into the next gear noise, then eventually the sticky screeching/grinding in 1st and reverse.

I checked the installation, everything is installed properly EXCEPT I didn't check the bearing inside the crankshaft... The pilot bushing.

Now would the pilot bushing be a problem if installed incorrectly? How can that possibly installed incorrectly anyway?

So I've narrowed it down to either the pilot bushing, or a bad throw out bearing? Am I accurate about these? Since all these parts are brand new, I don't see the problem.

What all has to be lubricated in a clutch kit? Does the Pilot bushing?

Thanks for any input!

Reading this new thread of yours I am getting out of it you are not actually getting a grinding into gear but more of a belt squeel magnified by a power of ten. that goes away after the car warms up,or substantially diminishes after a short period of driving. Am I right???If so i would say you didnt put the pilot bushing in all the way.It should be flush with the end of the tapper in the pilot hole.

It doesn't go away at all. And I'm 100% it has something to do with the clutch. The only thing left to test is the pilot bushing, maybe it wasn't tapped in all the way, would that even matter?

Otherwise then I have a defective clutch - bastards. What is the Nissan OEM Clutch? I'll probably end up ordering the kit and having it Professionally installed.

Thanks
