Hey, ive been a lurker for a while, and building my truck on the low using bits and pieces of information found on this forum. I think now its time to introduce myself and post some pics of my project. :) I race motorcycles, off road endurance races, and also pro flat track sprint races. Im all about performance, and i love style as well. My methods are unique at times, i am a fabricator and a carpenter as well by occupation. Heres my truck as of now, and ill soon put together a timeline. Thanks for looking! (also, i hope i correctly post the picture.. er..)

Hey, so today my dad brought home a piece of exhaust pipe that had fallen off a truck and was on the side of the road. its 2.25'' so i hacked it up into a few pieces and reused my muffler to redirect the fumes to exit outside from underneath the cab.. it took me about an hour and a half lol but it was real cheap fix! lol now i can lower the truck too, cause the can is out of the way. my balljoints should be here tomorrow as well :)

I used a jigsaw to cut the hole.. made a template out of cardboard type material, and traced it with a sharpie.. then drilled two holes at opposite ends and used my jiggy to get it done. :)

Let me know how that KA swap goes. Two days ago i had to replace my clutch after running three dead even runs from a dig with my buddies semi-stock 2004 SI civic.. up to about 80mph of course :) when i did that, i realized that my transmission had a crack in it so i replaced that as well. so clutch, flywheel, and transmission over the past weekend. then, today i had the sun at my back, and i came around the corner and pulled 2nd gear to redline, then about at mid pull in 3rd, looked in my mirror to see a nice little whirpool of blue smoke behind me.. so now its time to do a swap. i thought about just punching out the z24 and building it with nice internals, but also thought about just putting in another engine. i was thinking 350 chev, but i think the weight will make the truck handle like crap. let me know how that goes, and any opinions about swaps would be appreciated.

Ive heard of guys putting the ka head on the z24.. its an efi head if i can recall, and i believe it mounts directly to the z24 block with no issues. my question is, does anyone know what the compression results in with a stock block with stock internals when you put the ka24 head on? im looking to figure this out before i choose what pistons to put in my short block. and.. is it even worth it? i hear the z24 head is very restrictive and that the ka head is way better..

Can't remember who posted but breadbox and I had some discussions on that point. It doesn't vary the compression much but its noticeable when driving. Try a search.
