I was just looking through rims and stumbled upon some saleen 5 spoke rims and thought they looked nice. I was wondering if they would look and fit ok on my s13 after I do my 5 lug conversion. I am looking at the 17x9 with 5x114 lug pattern and 22mm offset. Tell me what you guys think.

I was just about to say that…with 9” width you can fit like 275’s

They aren't too wide.

But you won't be able to fit them on a stock suspension. You'll probably have to stretch some 235-255's across them, some RUCA's to control camber and maybe even roll the fenders a little bit, but you can make them fit.

I was going to get mustang wheels, but there is a small problem, mustang wheels have a different sized hubcentric ring, so you will have to go to a wheel/tire shop and find/have them make you a new hubcentric ring for the wheels.

its too wide without using a spacer with the stock mustang offset on any S13, the s14 it should be fine(if just barely).....It's still far too wide for anyone needs, and probably weighs a nice bit, too.-chet

It's too wide for both the front and rear of an S14... it will rub the fenders.

Not really going to help much... the car will roll over onto the tire in corners.

what goes into rolling the fenders? also, 17x9's will fit on an s13, if you get the right offset. ive seen people use like +40, but not +22.

17x9 +40 fit huh? you may want to check the math on that...I seriously doubt that would clear, even on the rears.

"fit" or "work properly" or "proper fitment" are different things, Im sure I can find a 13" wide wheel and make it "fit" in my car, but that doesnt mean it shoud be done.

goes back to the"just because you CAN, doesn't mean you SHOULD"-chet
