Hey guys, I have a 92' s13 & plan on running megan racing coilovers in the next few months with a 2" to 2 1/2" drop for street use.

Question is can a good alignment shop return the geometry to a "decent tire wear " setting or do I need additional hardware?

Thanks,Kb

The biggest problem with dropping the car that much is rear toe and camber. I have my stock adjusters maxed out and still have too much toe in, and too much negative camber. Upper arms and toe links are the best way to solve this. Assuming these coilovers come with camber plates, the front suspension is pretty much indefinatly adjustable for practical settings in terms of toe and camber

Yes, they do come with camber plates, front & rear. Can you point me in a good direction for upper arms and toe links? Also, what would be a recomendation for a performance minded setting?

Thanks,

http://www.spl-parts.com has the best suspension stuff going in my opinion. If your into autocross, negative 2 degrees camber all around will grip real good, maybe around one degree of toe in out back for stability if its your first time driving the car hard on coilovers. Otherwise start with zero toe, and test and tune to your liking. Tire wear wont be too good with these settings, just to warn you.

And just for future refrence, 240's dont use rear camber plates (thats what the upper arms are for) ; )

Get adjustable tension rods so you gain more camber as you turn in... this will help to offset your static camber requirements. You do this by increasing the caster angle.
